Chapter 24

Because Elician didn't have any choice, he formed his ice-cold hands around Lacey's small waist. The faster they moved, the tighter he held her. The situation at hand made him feel uncomfortable; never in his life had he ever ridden a horse before, and now, he was riding one. It was one of the creepiest things he had ever done as a young man.

Even though it was weird, it wasn't as strange as having a girl sitting in front of him. And the funny part was that it was supposed to be the other way around.

He became deep in thought, totally forgetting about the new scenery that appeared in their sight.

He heard a shriek escape into the air, until then he realized he was squeezing her.

Elician quickly removed his hand from Lacey's waist.

Elician: Geez, I'm sorry.

Lacey was finally able to breathe.

Lacey: Ouch! What were you thinking?

Elician: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you.

Lacey: Let's move; it's getting late.
