“What a troublesome rain we have here,” Rowan grumbled, flicking the lighter constantly quenched by the whirring breeze. The orange light the cigarette created at the bottom died completely, causing him to smash it to the ground covered by the mud the rain made.

The breeze blew off the dry leaves from the ground, making them rest on his feet. With a wine in his left hand, he took a sip, staring at the scene as if it were his best show. Again, he was ramrod straight, and if that mask was absent from his features, one would consider him handsome.

His eyes were fixed on Arthur, who was drinking from a girl who was slowly turning limp and lifeless, her eyes in a daze without struggling, unaware she was used as a tool for food under the dreary sky.

But the creature taking his fill was brutal when he handled her, the way he dived his fangs into her neck was unmerciful.
