Locked up in a Temple for a long time. Jace was released by Anita who was trying to write a project for her history class so has to be able to join the school play.

They saw the Heart of the Veil looming like a stand alone structure and as ancient as the civilization that created it. The material was stone and the stones themselves seemed to have a faint luminescence and looked fully alive despite their age. A dull drone rose from the earth, as if the soil itself gave a welcome to the Heart. It was the same in with the magic and Anita could almost hear the pulse of it beat inside her own chest. 


“This is it…” Lira murmured again so quietly that she might have been in awe. 


Anita moved towards the screen slowly and her legs seemed to be on auto pilot. The orb was still in her hand and her hand started to vibrate on the beat that was set by the Heart. She could hear it now, the whispers—this time clearer, more defined and, overall, it felt different. It was not the eerie voices of the forest anymore but the voices of the Veil that was ancient and had a direct echo from deep down.
