Locked up in a Temple for a long time. Jace was released by Anita who was trying to write a project for her history class so has to be able to join the school play.
Jace gave Anita his fox bead in other to save her after falling from the top of the mountain.

The forest had grown quieter with the passing tension which now created an almost peaceful silence. The bright moonlight shone down at a high position as they continued their path. Together Anita and Jace walked without speaking while unexplained emotions hung noticeably between them. 


Anita struggled to control her eyes from turning toward Jace. Under the soft illumination the shadows from the light revealed both Jace's angular features alongside his minimal tail movements which glowed faintly. Although hours had passed since they touched hands she could still sense the memory of his heat through her skin. 


You keep staring at me with your eyes. Her stream of thought interrupted by Jace's playful tone as he spoke. 


Anita stiffened, caught off guard. “I wasn’t—” 


The smirk on his face accompanied his words when he turned to watch her. “Don’t worry, I don’t mind. People struggle to turn their eyes away from me.
