Locked up in a Temple for a long time. Jace was released by Anita who was trying to write a project for her history class so has to be able to join the school play.
Jace gave Anita his fox bead in other to save her after falling from the top of the mountain.
Jace followed Anita to her school and started living with her because of his fox bead that with Anita

The storm kept raging inside of them even though rain had ceased many hours before. 


As Jace remained there he silently watched the place where Anita had disappeared. Every single word she spoke remained inside his head and penetrated deeper than he expected. 


I have stopped fighting for a person who refuses to struggle even for his own well-being. 


His jaw tightened as he made his fists while standing by his sides. He had survived numerous threats starting with shadowy monsters and enemies who wanted his death. The fear of losing her for good became the greatest terror which had ever gripped him. 


Once again he had to take responsibility for his self-created downfall. 


Jace took a deep breath while looking toward the black sky above. The deep rainwater saturated every part of his body without affecting his perception of the cold weather. His entire being focused on the void which her departure created.
