Chapter 211: You Were Never Meant to Be Human
The moon shone close to the cliffs and lit the landscape with faint white light. The wind glided through the hilltops as it moved the grass and passed hidden messages to the dark hours. At the place where his spirit reawakened long ago Jace stood frozen with his fists balled up as his heartbeat throbbed loudly.
Solitude did not help him think clearly because darkness intensified as he stood alone. The traces of original fire from ancient foxes remained weak in the air. The site served as the start and conclusion of all things.
“You’ve changed, Jace.”
Her words flowed gently yet sharply as she spoke. He knew the identity of his visitor because of the way she entered the space.

A faint moonlight shown on her figure when she appeared from the night. The silvery strands of her hair flowed gracefully down her spine like a flowing stream. Her eyes now displayed an everlasting twilight light that stood apart from human sight.
