Klein yanked his hood down. His cold fingers traced Xion's cheek before gripping his jaw, forcing Xion to look at him.
"Here, I am the God. Do you hear that?"
Of course, Xion could hear it. The voices had never been quiet to begin with.
He clenched his jaw, refusing to react, even as Klein rubbed his nose along his nape, inhaling deeply like some crazed beast savoring its prey.
"I told her I'd support her," Klein murmured, voice laced with amusement. "And she went crazy with joy."
His grip on Xion's jaw tightened as his lips curved into a smirk.
"She even rushed here to organize a special treat for me."
Then Xion understood. Siena got a message from Klein. How could someone like her miss such a big supporter? No wonder she rushed here even under such heavy rain.
