Aiden's POV
I should've known Hera wouldn't back down that easily.
As I walked back to the living room to be with Artemis and Elara, I felt her presence lingering behind me. Like a shadow from my past that refused to disappear.
I thought I ended this the moment I told her I had moved on.
But I was wrong.
I turned around and saw her standing there, her arms crossed over her chest, eyes burning with resentment.
"What do you want now, Hera?" I asked coldly.
She smirked faintly. "You really think this is over, Aiden?"
I clenched my jaw. "I've already told you. I'm married. I have a family. There's nothing left between us."
Her smile widened as she slowly stepped toward me. "Oh, but there is."
I narrowed my eyes. "What the hell are you talking about?"
Her eyes glistened with something dark as she reached into her purse and pulled out a small envelope.
