Escape Interrupted

In the evening, Kingsly Scott sent over a gown.

He was considerate; the dress wasn't tight-fitting and had pleats at the waist, perfect for her current figure. It was beautiful, with pearly sequins and white chiffon, making her look radiant.

When she got into the car, she realized he had personally come to pick her up.

He wore a dark suit with a bow tie for the event, and his handsome features appeared even more striking in the dim car light.

She sat in the passenger seat and obediently fastened her seatbelt.

Seeing this, he adjusted the belt to avoid pressing against her belly.

"Thank you," she said.

He didn't respond, so he started the engine and drove smoothly down the road.

The car was filled with her perfume, yet she could still catch his pleasant scent.

His scent brought a wave of nostalgia, prompting her to break the silence as she gazed out the window, "Kingsly, I'm sorry for the past."
