A Second Chance

Rachel gave William Franklin a slight smile, but before she could speak, a sharp pain suddenly radiated from her abdomen.

"Ah..."

Rachel bent over slightly in pain.

Mary became frantic, "Miss Foster, what's wrong? Are you okay?"

Rachel tightly furrowed her brows, her face pale and clearly distressed, "I... my stomach hurts..."

"What..." Mary was panicked, unsure of what to do. "What should we do now?"

Carson suggested, "Could it be that she was startled, and it affected the baby?"

Franklin's brow furrowed as he helped Mary support Rachel, calmly advising, "If it's affecting the baby, you need to lie down immediately."

Rachel was in too much pain to speak.

Without hesitation, Franklin lifted her and instructed the driver "to Recline the back seat."

The driver quickly complied and pulled the car over to the side.

Franklin carefully placed Rachel into the car.
