The core disciple looked at him in a fairly disgruntled nature.
"Friends?" Yin Kai asked as he put out his hand.
"Friends." The disciple replied, shaking Yang Kai's hand firmly.
"Well, in that case, how about everybody gets the spoils from their original man, and I take the spare clothes of this core disciple here. And a hat, if anyone has one."
Looking through the spatial ring, the core disciple pulled out the backup clothes and handed them to Yang Kai. Another disciple from the pavilion handed him a hat with a very large brim.
"Thanks!" Yin Kai said happily, donning his new hat. "Does anyone know what's happening here?"
"I've been stuck in an array for a while and have little to no knowledge regarding this space."
"Hey," his junior brother responded, "How about I come with you?"
"Works for me!" Yin Kai replied. "Thanks everyone! The name's Yin Kai!"
The two began to turn around. They were abruptly stopped by the group of cultivators. "Are either of you Poison Cultivators?" The core disciple shouted in a lower tone.
"No, not me. You?" Yin Kai asked his junior sectbrother. "Nope. I'm just passing through."
The core disciple grunted. "Let's go."
After they walked away, Yin Kai turned to his junior sectbrother. "What's your name?"
Cupping his hands, the man responded. "Martial Fist Temple, Qi Fusion Realm 1st Stage Disciple, Bo Jian!"
Yin Kai turned away. Adopting his lazy swagger, he added, "So… How is this space set up?"
Bo Jian responded quickly. "The space is set up like a giant array. Right now we're on Poison Inheritance Island."
"There are nine inheritance islands, and a tenth lies in the center. Only those with a qi type corresponding to the inheritance can open the door to the inheritances."
"What are the inheritances?"
"Poison, Fire, Ice, Earth, Wood, Sword, Blood, Corruption, and Rebirth."
"Where is the Rebirth island?"
"It's two islands to the left."
"Alright, let's go and see if we can find any of our sectmates."
There weren't many cultivators who cultivated the dao of poison. As such, the island was naturally empty.
The two managed to get to reach the end of the island without a fight.
When they arrived, a sudden shout stopped Yin Kai in his tracks.
"Wait!" Bo Jian cried.
"What?" Yin Kai asked, not bothering to turn around.
"The water. There's something in it. It corrodes cultivators into purple goo."
Yin Kai paused. 'Why didn't he say that in the first place?!'
"Bo Jian, how have people been getting across?"
"Erm… Some flew, some have flying artifacts… A wood cultivator elongated a tree to reach across…"
'So now what?!' Yin Kai thought to himself.
A short moment later, the previous group joined them on a flying white rabbit with red eyes. "Need a lift, friends?"
"Yes! Thank you for your kindness." Bo Jian and Yin Kai jumped atop the flying creature. As it took off, they began to trade information about the various disciples of the sects with their new travelmates.
"It's said that Lin Jian from your Martial Spirit Temple got to the Sword Inheritance before anyone else."
"Gu Bing got the Ice inheritance." Bo Jian added, rolling his eyes.
"Has the blood seeking sect achieved the blood inheritance yet?"
"We assume so, but are not sure of exactly who with them got it yet." The core disciple from Soul Gathering Armor Sect replied. "Also, my name is Shi Tian."
With his hands, he made a small gesture showing goodwill.
"Yin Kai. Which island are you guys travelling to?" Yin Kai asked.
"Metal." Cao Tian grunted. "Four islands to the left."
While they were waiting, Yin Kai changed his outfit to that of a Frozen Sea Palace core disciple and re-donned his hat.
Turning to Bo Jian, he told him, "You now have three distinct choices. You can jump off with me, or you can jump off whenever they come across a group of our acolytes, or you can stay with them and attack the metal island. Thoughts?"
Bo Jian thought for the time of an incense stick before replying. "I think I'll wait to join a bigger group."
As they neared the second island, Yin Kai smiled. Turning around, he said, "See you later, Bo… Bon Voyage!"
With a flip, he landed in a tree.
Smoothly scaling down from the dense foliage, Yin Kai hit the ground.
Unlike the last island, this one was covered in dense foliage.
Covered by the trees, Yin Kai took the least powerful of the flames he had gotten from the poison inheritance and quickly refined it.
The 48th most powerful on the Beast Flame list, the wind-scatter flame from the Flame Tornado Fairy Bird.
Putting the flame to work, Yin Kai stood on the beach as the island lit up in flames.
