Chapter 3 We Are in Sync in Bed

Sienna Summers returned to the hotel from the hospital, her delicate brows and eyes filled with exhaustion.

Her mother had suffered a sudden cardiac arrest, but fortunately, she had been resuscitated.

However, the medical fees were nearly depleted, and she needed to pay more…

Thinking of her current situation, she felt as though her heart was being gripped by an invisible hand.

Breathing was difficult.

The Summers Family went bankrupt, Charlton Lincoln forgot his debt of gratitude, and wanted to cancel their engagement.

From then on, she had no one to rely on.

The medical fees for her mother, the formula expenses for her children—all needed money!

A lack of money can drive a hero to despair…

Sienna stood dazedly at the door of her hotel room.

Thinking of the three chubby babies, she closed her eyes, took a deep breath to temporarily suppress the bitterness within her, and tried to muster a smile, not to let her children see any hint of her troubles.

She pressed the doorbell, and the door was soon opened by someone.

When she saw the tall man before her, the smile on her face froze.

"Why is it you?"

The person who opened the door was Jasper Brown.

"We meet again."

Sienna couldn't help but step back and glanced at the room number.

She hadn't gone to the wrong room!

It was the room she had booked!

"How come you are here?"

Just then, three little heads popped out from behind Jasper Brown.

"Mommy, you're back!"

"Mommy, come in quickly!"

The two daughters pulled Sienna inside.

Jasper Brown closed the door and leisurely followed them in.

"Mommy, this is the new daddy we found for you! Do you like him?"

The younger sister glanced at Jasper Brown, smilingly asked Sienna.

Sienna was preoccupied.

Hearing her daughter's childish tone, she nearly dropped her jaw in shock.

"Wh-What? Why... why are you finding me a new husband?"

"Because Uncle Fox has thick legs!"

"Because Uncle Fox is a eunuch!"

"Cough cough cough!"

Sienna choked on her saliva.

She subconsciously glanced at a certain part of Jasper Brown.

Remembering some not-so-child-friendly scenes from the previous night, her clear eyes twinkled.

A eunuch?

This man seemed to be a real man, didn't he?

"Sister, although Uncle Fox is second only to the one above and above ten thousand others, he is not a eunuch in this sense," explained Zach Summers. "This eunuch is not the eunuch that we are speaking of right now."

Melody Summers opened her big, grape-like eyes and let out an "oh," sounding adorably cute.

Sienna understood, and looked at the three fluffy little ones, feeling rather disheveled.

What exactly was going on?

How did this man appear here?

Was he really the new husband her children had found for her?

"Mr., please step outside with me for a moment."

Outside the room, Sienna looked up at the tall man with suspicion in her eyes.

"What exactly is going on here? Are you stalking me?"

"I don't have time for that."

Jasper Brown leaned against the wall, an air of casual nobility about him.

"It was your three kids who ran to Brown Corporation, looking for Seacity's business tycoon Jasper Brown to be their daddy, to take care of you in the future, so you won't be bullied anymore."

Really!

How on earth did these three kids come up with that idea!

Sienna found it amusing yet touching, her nose tingling with emotion.

She pressed down on her feelings and probed, "You're not Jasper Brown, right? The children just called you Uncle Fox?"

A sharp light flashed in Jasper Brown's deep eyes.

"I am Jasper Brown's assistant, my name is Richard Fox."

Richard Fox was his other name.

The surname Fox was his mother's surname.

His mother and father had divorced early on.

He had followed his mother abroad to settle down.

He had only returned to the country half a year ago to take over the position of president of Brown Corporation.

"Mr. Fox, thank you for bringing my children back. Children say the darndest things; if they've said anything, please don't take it seriously."

Sienna didn't take her children's playful words to heart.

Finding her a husband?

She had just been deeply hurt by a scumbag, and she could no longer muster the slightest interest in the male species.

"What if I were serious?" Jasper Brown asked.

Sienna Summers looked up, "What do you mean?"

"Marry me."

Marry him!

"Are you out of your mind?" Sienna blurted out without thinking.

Jasper Brown leaned closer, cornering her against the wall.

"I thought you would have realized whether I had a problem or not last night," he remarked, a sardonic smile playing on his lips.

The encroaching masculine scent made Sienna inadvertently recall the fierceness of his actions in bed the night before.

A blush slowly crept up her pale ears.

He was not only free from problems but also robust.

In that case...

"Then why do you want to marry me?"

This man was handsome and had a decent job.

Finding an excellent girl to marry should be easy for him.

Why seek her, a single mother?

"Because, it's suitable."

Jasper Brown's deep gaze swept over her bright red lips, darkening slightly.

A trace of confusion flickered through Sienna's lovely almond-shaped eyes.

"We didn't know each other before, did we? How did you find us suitable?"

Jasper Brown gazed at her intently and retorted with thin lips,

"Don't you think we're quite in sync in bed?"

Sienna: "..."

Physical compatibility is also considered suitability!

As expected, men are creatures that think with their lower halves.

Sienna's face flushed red as she pushed him away, her first reaction one of rejection.

"You're so superficial."

Jasper Brown stood upright, his tone nonchalant.

"Food and sex are basic human desires! Even if it's superficial, it's still better than a hypocritical prude, isn't it?"

His words made Sienna think of Charlton Lincoln.

He hadn't touched her for four years, giving her plenty of respect.

But in the end, it was all a deceitful sham!

Her heart ached again, and she looked down in silence.

"Have you made up your mind?" Jasper Brown asked.

Sienna didn't want to consider it, but thinking of something, she swallowed the refusal that was on the tip of her tongue.

Her mother's medical bills were due again.

She didn't have much money left.

And the kids were about to start kindergarten.

The best private kindergartens in Seacity required a parental qualification certification.

If she were just a single mother with no background, it would be tough for her three children to enter a private kindergarten.

So...

Sienna's fingers curled slightly as she looked at the handsome man before her, pushing aside all her pride.

"If we get married, how much bride price can you offer?"

Jasper Brown glanced at her, a dark glint passing through his eyes.

She's quite pragmatic, isn't she?

Indeed, it was right not to reveal his true identity.

"How much bride price do you want?"

Sienna heard the coolness in his tone and felt a heat on her face.

But still, she mustered up the nerve and said, "Five hundred thousand."

Jasper Brown gave her a nonchalant look.

"What if I can't afford that bride price? Does the highest bidder win?"

He was insinuating that she treated marriage like a transaction!

Sienna was embarrassed.

She pressed down her emotions, "Mr. Fox, you don't need to scoff, I'm not forcing you to marry me."

The woman's chin lifted slightly, annoyance seeming to flicker in her pretty almond eyes.

Rather haughty now.

Jasper Brown nodded, "Fine, five hundred thousand it is."

He agreed just like that?

Sienna looked at him, speechless for a moment.

"Speak up if you have any other demands," Jasper Brown said.

Sienna shook her head, her almond eyes clear.

"I don't know the real reason you want to marry me, but you can treat that five hundred thousand as a loan. I'll pay you back when I earn the money."

"No need, the bride price is yours once I give it to you."

What he had in abundance was money; what he detested were worldly women.

If she weren't of some use to him, he wouldn't have sought her out.
