"Fine, I agree to marry you. If one day you no longer want to be with me and wish to divorce, I won't cling to you."
Sienna Summers sensed that Jasper Brown had approached her with some hidden motive.
This marriage was bound to be short-lived.
And right now, she needed the money.
It was merely a matter of convenience for both parties.
Jasper Brown raised an eyebrow but didn't take her words to heart, merely glancing at his watch.
"Do you have your documents? Let's go to the Civil Affairs Bureau and get the certificate."
So soon!
Sienna thought about her documents, along with many other belongings still at Charlton Lincoln's place.
"I don't have my documents with me, I need to go somewhere first."
"Your fiancé's home?" he asked.
"How did you know?"
"The children told me, said you were kicked out."
Sienna felt somewhat embarrassed.
She said no more.
Turning around, she saw her two daughters hiding by the door, eavesdropping.
Their big, round eyes stared at her, faces lit with excitement.
"Mommie, you agreed to marry Uncle Fox?"
Sienna patted their heads gently and hummed in affirmation.
"That's wonderful, we have a new daddy now!"
In the room, Zach Summers watched his sisters' excited faces and felt a surge of excitement himself.
He hoped their new stepfather chosen for Mommie would protect her and not let her be bullied again.
As the group left the hotel, Sienna was surprised when Jasper Brown led them to a Bentley.
"Is this your car?"
Jasper paused while opening the door, "No, it belongs to the boss."
Sienna nodded, she thought so, this car must be worth at least four or five million.
How could a mere assistant like him afford such a luxury vehicle?
They all got into the car, and Jasper drove them to Charlton Lincoln's villa.
Seeing the familiar scenery, Sienna struggled to suppress her emotions and opened the car door.
"Please wait for me a moment."
Jasper hummed, his handsome face expressionless.
Zach frowned slightly, "Uncle Fox, you're letting Mommie go in alone? You promised to protect her."
Younger sister: "Uncle Fox, there are bad people inside!"
Youngest sister: "Uncle Fox, the bad people will hit Mommie!"
Jasper: "..."
So, here he was, the CEO of Brown Corporation, had turned into a driver for the day and now had to play their Mommie's protector!
Inside the villa.
Charlton Lincoln hadn't left yet, and his face turned cold when he saw Sienna returning.
"What are you doing here?"
"Don't worry, I'm just here to pick up my things."
Sienna, expressionless, went upstairs into the master bedroom and packed up all her belongings.
Charlton watched her graceful slender figure, his expression somewhat dazed.
He hadn't loved her.
But he couldn't accept that she had children with another man!
"Sienna, who was that man four years ago!"
Sienna paused in her packing, not looking up.
"It's none of your business."
She had lost a part of her memory.
It was her parents who told her that four years ago she said she had to meet someone important.
But when she came back, she had a child.
Whatever happened in between, her memory was completely blank.
"It's none of my business?"
Charlton grabbed Sienna's hand angrily, "Sienna, you really are fickle. Four years ago, you were dating me while fooling around with another man, what do you take me for?"
Sienna shook off his hand.
"Charlton Lincoln, I'm relieved I never loved you deeply. If it weren't for you having saved me once, I wouldn't have chosen to be with you. A man who forgets favors like you doesn't deserve me!"
So, she was with him just because he had once saved her?
If she hadn't been rescued, would she still look down on herself?
Charlton Lincoln's gaze flickered as he saw Sienna Summers's cool expression, devoid of her usual tenderness toward him, irritation flashing across his eyes.
"Sienna, at this point, you, a fallen heiress, still think too highly of yourself. Do I need to remind you that your mother is still in the hospital and her treatment costs about $20,000 a month?"
Sienna continued packing, her eyes downcast, silent.
"Why don't we do this, considering our past relationship, how about becoming my lover, and I'll pay your mother's monthly treatment fees?"
Sienna realized she had never really understood Charlton Lincoln.
The once gentle and elegant man turned out to be so despicable and shameless inside?
Sienna's slender fingers reached for her pocket, her beautiful almond-shaped eyes looking at him.
"Do you really want me to be your lover? Aren't you afraid Gabriella Lowry will find out?"
Charlton Lincoln moved closer to her, wrapping his arm around her waist, his tone softening.
"As long as you and I don't tell, how would Kayla know?"
Sienna suppressed the disgust in her eyes, feigning aggrievement.
"Charlton, do you love me more, or do you love Gabriella Lowry more?"
Charlton Lincoln gazed at her beautiful face, regretting why he hadn't moved on her in the past four years.
"Of course, I love you more."
Liar!
Tears welled up in Sienna's eyes.
"If you love me more, why did you send me to your client's bed?"
A woman's tears are like a smoke bomb, always blinding men.
Charlton Lincoln's heart softened, reaching out to wipe her tears.
"I'm sorry, I was just not thinking straight. But rest assured, if you are with me, I will cherish you and won't send you to any other men again."
As he spoke, he pinched Sienna's chin, intending to steal a kiss.
Sienna's expression turned cold, and she raised her knee to his most vulnerable part.
Charlton Lincoln cried out in pain, his waist bent and his face twisted in agony.
"Sienna!"
"Charlton Lincoln, you disgust me! To be your lover, in your dreams!"
"Sienna, you're asking for it!"
Furious, Charlton Lincoln raised his hand to hit her.
But just as his hand was raised, someone grabbed his wrist and then slammed him against the wall.
With a thud, Charlton Lincoln slid down the wall, his face contorted in pain.
Clutching his chest, he stood up, shrinking a bit under Jasper Brown's piercing gaze.
"Who are you?"
"My woman, and you think you can touch her?"
Jasper Brown's eyes were as cold as ice.
Charlton Lincoln was stunned, turning to look at Sienna.
"Sienna, who is he?"
"Don't you know who he is? Wasn't it you who sent me to his bed last night?"
Sienna clenched her fingers, coldly smiling.
Thinking about the conversation she overheard between Charlton Lincoln and Gabriella Lowry that morning, she guessed something had gone wrong.
This Mr. Fox was certainly not some old man.
Charlton Lincoln's expression changed.
He had clearly sent Sienna to Joshua Gray of the Brown Corporation.
A bald man over fifty.
How did it suddenly change to a young, handsome man?
"Got your documents?" Jasper Brown's expression was bleak.
Sienna fetched her household register, "Got it."
"Then let's go."
"Okay."
"Wait!"
Charlton Lincoln stared at Sienna's household register, "What are you doing with that?"
Sienna glanced at him, wrapping her hand around Jasper Brown's arm.
"Charlton Lincoln, thank you for playing matchmaker. Richard and I were very pleased with each other last night, so we've decided to get married right away at the Civil Affairs Bureau."
What!
She was going to marry this man!
Charlton Lincoln incredulously looked at Jasper Brown.
"She has three children of unknown origin, you don't mind?"
