The Harper Clan was enveloped in a gloomy atmosphere that afternoon.
Edward Harper dragged his tired body out of the office, and as his car passed the pan-fried dumpling shop in the city center, a flicker of emotion crossed his eyes. Such a small shop, and the taste was mediocre to him; he couldn't fathom why the picky woman at home loved the food from this place so much.
"Stop," he said.
Liam Johnson heard the command and immediately looked for a place to park, fearing a delay would result in chastisement; provoking this formidable figure at this critical juncture was something he didn't dare to do.
The car slowly came to a stop by the roadside.
Edward Harper glanced out the window and said to Liam Johnson,
"Go buy some pan-fried dumplings to-go."
