Aria hung up the phone, feeling satisfied, and started eating the food from the takeout box with her chopsticks.
Edward Harper looked a bit gloomy. On the phone, he had sensed Clara Knox's anger, and he regretted somewhat making that call. He felt guilty towards Clara and thought it wasn't worth it to upset her over a few pieces of tamarind cake.
Seeing Aria eat happily, he fell silent, reluctant to speak.
After filling her stomach, Aria felt in a great mood. She tossed the chopsticks aside and wrapped her hands around Edward Harper's arm,
"Edward, are you worried about me, or are you worried about your son?"
Aria guided Edward Harper's hand towards her lower abdomen.
Edward inexplicably resisted, feeling uncomfortable with the words "your son" that she spoke.
"Aria."
He abruptly pulled his hand back, his expression turning cold.
Aria coaxed, "Just feel it, this is our baby together. Aren't you curious about what he looks like?"
