Clara Knox glanced at the water Aria Knight handed her, thinking, Who does she take me for, an idiot?
"Since you treat me like your own sister, I won't mind. I think the water in your hand looks better. How about we swap?"
After she spoke, Aria was taken aback, then quickly responded,
"Sister, these two glasses are the same, both lemon water. I've just drunk from mine. It's not that I won't swap, but I have a slight cold recently and don't want to infect you."
Clara's gaze fixed on Aria for a few seconds, inducing chills in her heart,
"Since you have a cold, I wouldn't dare use the glass you've touched. You should drink both glasses; it's important to drink lots of warm water and replenish vitamin C to recover quickly."
Aria realized that the woman before her might have changed, no longer as easily fooled as before and clearly more guarded against her.
At this moment, Edward Harper came downstairs after finishing a cigarette and saw the three talking about something.
