Clara Knox saw Oliver Knox's car pull up in front of her, opened the door, and got in. She was really worried that the two kids couldn't wait for her and would cause a fuss.
"Brother, Max and Lucas didn't cause any trouble last night, did they?"
Oliver Knox looked her up and down, noticing that she seemed okay and showed no obvious signs of injury. His worries gradually eased.
"The two kids couldn't wait for you and went to sleep. What happened to you yesterday, and why didn't you call me?"
Clara Knox sighed,
"I got off work late and encountered some danger, but it was just a false alarm. Everything's fine now."
"You weren't hurt, right?"
Clara Knox shook her head, tucked a strand of hair behind her ear,
"I swallowed some seawater yesterday. The hospital suggested staying overnight for observation, but since there's nothing wrong, I can be discharged."
