Isabella Duncan's alarm radar went off in her head. Her brother had instructed her to keep an eye on Edward Harper, and not to let him be alone with Clara Knox.
She took a few seconds to react, then immediately leaned sideways on the sofa, occupying the entire loveseat in Clara Knox's office.
"Sister Clara, I'm not leaving. You can't just watch me wander, right?"
Clara Knox sighed and sat down in her office chair.
Edward Harper glanced at Isabella Duncan, his face not looking too pleased. He had just succeeded in sending Adam Duncan away, only for Isabella Duncan to show up. What's with these Duncans? Were they raised on chewing gum or something?
In front of Clara Knox, he didn't want to say much, but he had pressing business with her.
"Clara, here's your new phone."
