"Ma'am, sorry to disturb you. I'm here to adjust the equipment for Director Harper."

Clara Knox had just verified last month's bills and hadn't started sketching. The word "ma'am" from Liam Johnson brought back endless memories for her.

"Secretary Johnson, use a different title in the future. Director Harper and I are already divorced."

Liam Johnson scratched his head and awkwardly smiled,

"Okay, ma'am."

Clara was speechless.

While the two hadn't figured out what to call her in the future, Edward Harper pushed the door open and came in, a pair of glasses perched on his nose.

Clara remembered him not being nearsighted before. It was her first time seeing him in glasses, which surprisingly toned down his sharpness, making him seem much more refined.

Edward sat directly in front of the TV, folding his hands on the table.
