In the darkness, Clara Knox held her breath for a moment.
She wondered if the house staff had said something inappropriate to the two children, prompting Max to develop such a horrifying thought.
"Max, do you know your dad?"
Only then did Max Knox realize he'd misspoken, having rushed his words without being careful, accidentally saying what was on his mind.
He hurriedly corrected himself,
"I don't know, I've never met him. Didn't you say he went to learn magic?"
Clara Knox's heart slightly relaxed, but then she thought that this child was naturally more emotionally and intellectually advanced than his peers, and she couldn't take it lightly.
She was mainly worried that the broken family might have a negative effect on the child's psychological development, especially with Max expressing such thoughts.
"Max, do you want a dad?"
Max Knox murmured,
"I do. But I don't want a bad dad. I want one who knows martial arts, can walk on walls, and is nice to mommy!"
