Edward Harper turned his head and looked at the two children, his voice grave as he said,
"Granny, I'll come back right away."
Clara Knox noticed his demeanor after finishing the call and knew there was something that needed handling. Before she could ask, Edward Harper quickly explained,
"Tomorrow is the anniversary of my granny's passing, and Grandpa has asked me to come back now. There are many things to prepare."
Having said that, he glanced around the living room, a hint of reluctance flashing in his eyes. It was rare for the family of four to be together. Besides, he selfishly wished to bring the two kids to great-grandfather to hold, considering the old man's age; all he looked forward to in his dreams was to embrace his great-grandchildren.
