After a night of rest, Clara Knox's body was already fine.
Oliver Knox watched her finish breakfast and stayed in her hospital room to handle business. It didn't look like he planned to leave anytime soon. His assistant kept coming and going, delivering documents and reporting on work matters. He was busy like a spinning top all morning.
Clara Knox paced back and forth on the floor, bored. She wanted to be discharged, but Oliver wouldn't allow it, insisting she stay the full day and handle discharge procedures the next morning.

Oliver Knox signed a document and set it aside, collected all the files from the coffee table into a folder, and finally had a moment to glance at her.
