"I refuse."

In the side room of the Jennings Family house, Scarlett Jennings looked at Josiah Garrison and refused without hesitation.

Josiah appeared visibly taken aback and even thought he had misheard.

"What, what did you say?"

"I said, I- re- fuse." Seeing his puzzled expression, Scarlett patiently repeated it one word at a time.

Josiah's face didn't look pleasantly surprised.

Including last time, this was the second time Scarlett didn't do as he said.

"Scarlett, don't throw a tantrum. I know you're still angry about Mom making you leave the Garrison Family that day, but everyone is family. Moreover, if it weren't for Mom and Dad, you wouldn't be back with the Jennings Family now."

Scarlett glanced at him. "So, according to you, I should be grateful to you all?"
