Lucas Shaw pulled over to the side of the road.
Serena Summers looked at him, puzzled, "Why did you suddenly stop?"
Lucas Shaw unbuckled his seat belt and said to Serena, "Wait for me in the car, I'm going to buy something."
"Okay." Serena nodded.
Watching her obedient look, a smile appeared in Lucas's eyes.
He reached out and gently tousled her hair, "Good girl."
Julian Lane's car, which had been following behind, also came to a stop.
He looked through his car window at the car in front of him, suddenly feeling a bit of regret.
He should have ridden with them from the start; now, he had missed the chance to talk to Serena during the drive.
Julian Lane sighed regretfully, tapping his fingers idly on the steering wheel.
After Lucas got out of the car, he went straight to a roadside cake shop.
Serena liked sweets, and Lucas used to stop by here on his way home from work and buy some small cakes to take home.
