Suddenly, a knock sounded from outside the door. Mrs. Summers immediately suppressed her emotions and said toward the door, "Come in."
Declan Summers opened the door and walked in with a serious expression, "Mom."
"Declan? You're back? Why are you only getting home now? Weren't you supposed to be back earlier?" Mrs. Summers's lips curved into a smile as she saw her son return.
She approached Declan and started chattering, "Our family has really been through a lot lately. I heard it was pouring rain where you were filming. I called you many times, but you didn't answer. I was worried that something had happened to you."
"I didn't realize you were so worried about me, Mom. Indeed, the situation was critical; I was trapped in a cave and could have lost my life," Declan said, his eyes downcast and a dark shadow crossing his gaze.
Mrs. Summers's eyes widened in disbelief.
