Julia Land slipped into her bathrobe and walked out from the bathroom to the living room.
James Thompson was draped in a garment, not buttoned up, looking down at his cell phone. When he saw her come out, he glanced up at her.
"We've hit trending searches, now the whole internet knows little Julia has a new man."
Julia walked over and looked at the screen of his phone, "It's very late now, you should be leaving."
James Thompson stood wearing men's slippers that Julia had newly bought. He was in a good mood and replied with a simple, "Sure."
He put down his phone and started to put his clothes on, his long fingers slowly buttoning up.
"Actually, I could stay here," James Thompson said while buttoning his shirt and fastening his belt, looking down at her, he asked, "May I?"
"Of course, you may not," the woman answered crisply.
Julia had her own matters to attend to, and it was inconvenient to have James Thompson staying by her side.
Her answer was too resolute.
