Chapter 37: The Mixed-Race Man, Entangled and Confused.

Upon hearing that it was about Wayne Don, Violet Don still held back the hatred in her heart and made an effort to keep her voice calm as she spoke to the butler, "No need, I'm right here. Just have Wayne come out of the car to see me. I won't get in his car."

She was still so vigilant, trying hard not to involve herself with anything related to Noah Bates.

The butler could only relay her words truthfully. Noah Bates, upon hearing them, burst into laughter out of anger and then told Wayne Don, "Your mom is calling you out of the car."

Wayne Don bounded out of the car as if he had been granted amnesty, then stumbled into Violet Don's arms.

"Mommy!" The little boy's trembling voice reached her ears, and Violet Don's eyes reddened, "Did you miss Mommy these past few days?"

"A lot, a lot!"

To accommodate Wayne, Violet Don crouched down, tousled his soft black hair, and sniffled, "Mommy has caught a bit of a cold recently, but don't you worry."
