"Boom!"
A massive spaceship cut through the vast sea of stars, streaking across the cosmos.
The journey had been uneventful.
Three months passed in the blink of an eye, and as planned, Jiang Chen's vessel finally breached the boundaries of the solar system.
"Ah..."
Spotting the familiar blue planet, Jiang Chen let out a long breath with a subtle smile spreading across his face.
Perhaps it was the shared name of Earth that made him feel a deep, inexplicable bond with this version of the world.
---
Ten minutes later.
West City Plains.
The enormous spaceship descended smoothly, its hull gleaming under the Earth's sun.
"Click, click, click!"
The heavy hatch hissed open, and Jiang Chen stepped out with Nappa following closely behind.
A gust of wind greeted them, carrying the scent of Earth's familiar air.
Nappa, despite his usual bravado, felt a strange nervousness creep in.
Jiang Chen, on the other hand, seemed completely at ease, stretching his arms as though shaking off the stiffness of space travel.
"Alright, let's go. First, we need to find Raditz." Jiang Chen glanced at Nappa before launching into the sky, heading toward Mount Paozu.
He could already sense Raditz's energy signature. Given their proximity, he decided to forgo using Instant Transmission.
"Okay, okay!" Nappa quickly nodded and followed suit, soaring after Jiang Chen.
---
A few minutes later.
Two streaks of energy zipped across the sky, descending upon Mount Paozu.
As Jiang Chen landed, his eyes narrowed in surprise— parked on the open field was a sizable spaceship.
A blonde-haired girl stood beside it with some tools in her hand, tinkering with the ship's exterior.
Jiang Chen raised an eyebrow but quickly brushed off his curiosity, focusing instead on the Saiyan stepping out of the ship.
Raditz appeared, looking visibly irritated while lugging a heavy crate of mechanical parts.
"Woman, how much longer is this going to take?" Raditz's gruff voice rang out, his patience clearly wearing thin.
"Almost done, almost done!" The blonde girl called back from inside the ship, her tone hurried.
With a loud 'bang', Raditz unceremoniously dropped the parts on the ground and stepped forward.
Then, he froze.
"Aspara?!" Raditz's eyes widened in surprise.
His shock deepened when he noticed the towering figure beside Jiang Chen.
"Nappa?!" Raditz exclaimed.
"Raditz!" Nappa's expression was stiff, his tone awkward.
Jiang Chen folded his arms. "What's going on here?"
Raditz exhaled, gesturing toward the spaceship. "This unreliable woman showed up with this ship. I was just about to head into space."
"Head into space?" Jiang Chen's brow furrowed as he quickly pieced things together.
"Hey, Raditz, tell me— who exactly is 'unreliable' here?" A voice rang out as the blonde girl emerged, dusting off her hands, her eyes flashing with irritation.
"Of course, it's you, troublesome woman." Raditz scoffed.
"Raditz, do you even 'want' your ship fixed? If you hadn't messed with the components, we'd already be done!" The girl huffed, glaring at him.
Raditz crossed his arms. "Hmph. It's a junk ship anyway. I haven't even gone all out on it yet."
"Hey, hey, watch your words!"
Jiang Chen smirked, watching their bickering unfold with growing amusement.
These two had 'chemistry.'
Even Nappa seemed taken aback by the scene.
Noticing the way they were being observed, both Tights and Raditz suddenly fell silent.
Tights' cheeks flushed slightly. Raditz, too, looked away, clearly embarrassed.
"Uh... Aspara, when did you get back?" Raditz coughed, hastily changing the subject.
"Just now." Jiang Chen chuckled. "I'm leaving Nappa with you. Help him get settled."
Raditz blinked. "Oh... alright!"
"One more thing— put that space trip on hold for now."
"Got it!"
With that, Jiang Chen turned away, his expression sharpening as he brought two fingers to his forehead.
A powerful ripple of energy spread across the planet as he locked onto his next destination.
"Found it." Jiang Chen whispered.
In the next instant, he vanished.
Tights, Raditz, and Nappa all gawked.
"D-Did he just 'disappear'?!" Tights stammered, instinctively stepping behind Raditz.
Raditz's mouth twitched.
Nappa, too, was utterly dumbfounded.
---
At the same time.
Kame House.
Four figures were locked in intense training, switch weat dripping from their brows.
These warriors hailed from Celipa's crew.
They had arrived on Earth a few years prior. At first, they dismissed the planet as a mere backwater world, unworthy of their attention.
But their perceptions had been 'shattered' upon their arrival.
Raditz, whom they once knew as a low-class warrior, now boasted a power level exceeding twenty thousand.
It was staggering.
Even King Vegeta himself had barely reached ten thousand. Captain Bardock had hovered around that range as well. Yet Raditz— 'Raditz'— had surpassed them.
And then, there was Kakarot.
The supposed runt of their race had a power level of five thousand... at less than ten years old.
It was unfathomable.
But that wasn't the most shocking part.
The 'real' revelation came when they experienced Earth's unique martial arts firsthand.
Their mentor?
A frail-looking old man whose battle power barely scratched the surface— yet his mastery of 'Ki' was beyond comprehension.
A mere few hundred points of power could be 'doubled' in an instant through precise control.
"Alright!" Master Roshi clapped his hands. "One-hour break. Then, take this and swim across the sea to deliver the milk!"
With a collective groan, the Saiyan warriors collapsed onto the sand, utterly drained.
Roshi watched them, rubbing his bald head in amazement.
The sheer talent of these Saiyans continued to astound him.
Especially the little one from years ago— Kakarot.
Lost in thought, Roshi suddenly felt something.
His head snapped toward the open space beyond the shore.
And then—
"Whoosh!" A figure materialized before him.
When he recognized the figure, Master Roshi was momentarily stunned.
"It's you?" Master Roshi exclaimed in surprise.
His words instantly drew the attention of Celipa and the others.
One by one, they turned to look, and when they saw the figure, their expressions brightened.
"Master Roshi, long time no see!" Jiang Chen smiled, greeting the old martial arts master before shifting his gaze to Celipa and the others.
As his eyes fell upon them, Jiang Chen raised an eyebrow.
Compared to when he last saw the four in space, their Ki was noticeably more stable now, and their strength had significantly improved; even the weakest among them had a power level exceeding five thousand, while the strongest had reached around seven thousand. It was clear that this was a result of Master Roshi's rigorous training.
"Aspara!" Seeing Jiang Chen, the others called out, quickly getting to their feet.
"Celipa Oba San, Toma Oji San, Uncle Toteppo Oji San, Panbukin Oji San!" Jiang Chen greeted them with a smile.
"Great! I knew you wouldn't be in trouble!" Celipa beamed, her relief evident.
The others echoed her sentiments.
To be honest, after leaving that planet, they had been worried about Aspara. They even spent nearly a year searching for him, but unfortunately, they couldn't find any trace of him.
They could only follow Jiang Chen's advice and come to Earth.
Jiang Chen smiled before he began to chat with them.
As their break time came to an end, Jiang Chen finally wrapped up his conversation.
