MCSDB Chapter 86 Training Plan Part 2

But the righteous heart… that was something different.

Righteousness isn't something people are simply born with— it's something they make while living in this world, something they cultivate. Just as humans naturally develop language, art, and music, so too can they develop morality, fairness, and integrity.

Vegeta had managed to grow into it.

And if Vegeta could, then why not Celipa and the others?

The only thing separating them was their environment.

Vegeta's change had been triggered by Earth's influence. By living among its people, fighting alongside its warriors, and witnessing battles waged to protect others, he had come to embody a different kind of Saiyan.

If Celipa and the others experienced something similar, they too could develop a righteous heart.

In fact, given their stronger emotional bonds compared to most Saiyans, it might even be easier for them.

And as Jiang Chen pondered how to guide them down that path, an idea took form.

Or rather, after meeting Tights, an earlier idea of his became much clearer.

If he recalled correctly, the Dragon Ball Encyclopedia had once mentioned a force that maintained balance in the universe— the 'Galactic Patrol.'

This organization, known as the 'Galactic Guardian Corps,' operated across all four galaxies of Universe 7, directly under the command of the 'Galactic King.'

Though they were introduced late in the original story and weren't exactly formidable compared to Saiyan standards, their purpose was undeniable: they fought to keep order in the cosmos, standing against criminal warlords and tyrants.

And what better way to cultivate a righteous heart than by upholding justice across the stars?

On Earth, the opportunities for such growth were far too limited.

Sure, they could try to develop a righteous heart here, but how? There weren't enough battles to test them, no real conflicts to face. It would be even more difficult than training their power levels to 3 Million.

But out there, across the vast reaches of space, the Galactic Patrol was always in need of warriors.

Saiyans craved battle. They thrived in combat.

If they remained on Earth, their growth would stagnate.

But if they joined the Galactic Patrol— even in a limited capacity— not only would they gain invaluable battle experience, but they would also begin the journey toward developing the righteousness needed for the Saiyan God transformation.

And that, Jiang Chen thought, might just be their best path forward.

Otherwise, achieving the legendary Super Saiyan form would be nearly impossible.

Of course, what excited Jiang Chen even more was the prospect of joining the Galactic Patrol.

If his memory served him correctly, there was an apprentice Angel among their ranks.

This was his only chance to interact with an Angel.

Even if this apprentice was nowhere near the level of a seasoned Angel like Whis, they were still an Angel. The opportunity to receive even a sliver of their guidance could be life-changing.

Just look at Goku and Vegeta.

After the battle with Majin Buu, their strength had stagnated. Yet under Whis's tutelage, their growth skyrocketed in just a few short years.

Super Saiyan God. Super Saiyan Blue. Ultra Instinct. The mastery of self-movement.

These weren't transformations they could have achieved through ordinary training.

Presented with a path to immense power, Jiang Chen had no intention of letting it slip away.

As he spoke, Celipa and the others exchanged glances, their expressions laced with confusion.

"How about this? You all prepare yourselves— we leave in three days." Jiang Chen didn't offer further explanation, only giving a calm directive.

"Alright."

Though puzzled, Celipa and the others nodded without question. Soon after, they dispersed, leaving only Raditz behind.

Once they were alone, Jiang Chen turned to him.

"Raditz, can you get in touch with Tights?"

Raditz blinked. "Yeah, but what do you want with that troublesome woman?"

"Just ask her if she can contact Jaco."

Raditz frowned but complied, activating his communicator.

After a few moments, an exasperated voice came through.

"Raditz, what now? I'm busy! That sister of mine still won't come back to help with my writing."

"Tights," Raditz sighed. "Aspara wants to know if you can reach Jaco."

There was a pause.

"Jaco?"

Taking advantage of the moment, Jiang Chen stepped in.

"Miss Tights, I was wondering what the requirements are for joining the Galactic Patrol."

"You want to join the Galactic Patrol?" Tights sounded genuinely stunned.

"Yes. Would that be difficult?"

"Well, it's not exactly difficult, but Jaco doesn't think too highly of Saiyans. He might refuse outright."

Jiang Chen chuckled, unfazed.

"That's fine. Just contact him— I'll take care of the rest."

The Saiyans of Universe 7 weren't like those of Universe 6. Their reputation was far from clean, and he knew it.

But he wasn't concerned.

After all, Vegeta himself had joined the Galactic Patrol in the original timeline. If even the Prince of Saiyans could do it, why couldn't they?

More importantly, the Galactic Patrol was severely understaffed when it came to real warriors.

Frieza dominated the North Area. Cooler had a firm grip on the West. And the South and East weren't much better. The Patrol's reach barely extended beyond minor skirmishes.

The truth was, as long as the Saiyans didn't show outright hostility, the Galactic Patrol had little reason to turn them away.

"Alright, alright! I'll call him now." Tights, intrigued, quickly got to work.

Jiang Chen nodded. "Let's go. We'll meet her there."

With that, he placed a hand on Raditz's shoulder—

And in an instant, they vanished.

---

Mount Paozu.

Near a clearing, a small spacecraft sat nestled between towering cliffs.

"Whoosh!"

Two figures materialized from thin air.

Tights, startled, yelped.

"Could you NOT do that?! You Saiyans and your sudden teleporting!"

From the communicator, Jaco was equally startled.

"Eep!"

Jiang Chen ignored their reactions and turned to the screen, where the pint-sized Patrolman's face was frozen in nervous shock.

"Hello, Jaco. I'm Aspara, and this is Raditz. I wanted to ask— what are the qualifications for joining the Galactic Patrol?"

Jaco blinked.

Then his eyes widened in horror.

"WHAT?!"

Jiang Chen smiled.

"I asked how we can enlist in the Galactic Patrol."

"You— you want to JOIN the Galactic Patrol?" Jaco stammered.

"Yes. Planet Vegeta is gone. The few Saiyans who survived have no home, no future. You know as well as I do that we worked under Frieza, conquering worlds for his empire— only to be repaid with our own destruction."

He let the words sink in before continuing.

"This time, we want to take a different path. The Galactic Patrol is dedicated to maintaining peace in the universe, correct? That's why we're interested."

It was a carefully crafted response— one Jiang Chen had already rehearsed in his mind.

A lost people. A destroyed homeland. A shift in purpose.

They were all plausible motivations.

And judging by Jaco's expression, he was struggling to process it.

"This…"

The Patrolman opened his mouth, but no words came out.

Jiang Chen didn't press him.

"Jaco, why don't you check with your superiors? Get their opinion first, then let us know."

Jaco exhaled, clearly relieved to have an escape.

"R-Right! I'll ask and get back to you!"

The communicator cut off.

Silence followed.

Then, Tights crossed her arms and eyed Jiang Chen suspiciously.

"What's your angle?"

Jiang Chen merely smiled.

"You're actually serious about joining the Patrol? You're not planning something shady?"

Raditz scoffed. "You talk too much, woman."

"I'm just saying! Jaco always says Saiyans are the universe's worst criminals, and now you suddenly want to be peacekeepers? It's weird."

"There's nothing weird about it," Jiang Chen replied evenly.

He looked toward the horizon, his expression unreadable.

"Our planet is gone. What we were before… no longer matters."

His voice was calm, but there was a weight to it— one that made even Raditz fall silent.

Tights, realizing she had touched a nerve, hesitated.

"…I'm sorry."

Jiang Chen's smile returned, light but reassuring.

"It's fine."

Meanwhile, on the other side of the galaxy—

Jaco was sprinting through the corridors of the Galactic Patrol headquarters.

This wasn't just some minor update.

This was huge.

Saiyans— wanting to join the Patrol?

He had to report this immediately.
