Chapter 1 Husband Comes Home!

Tang Zhiluo didn't expect Mo Xun to come back today.

They had been married for three months, and Tang Zhiluo could count the number of times she had seen him on one hand.

Tang Zhiluo was holding a cup of water and looking at her phone, clad in a white slip dress, her silhouette slim and lithe, her entire figure so pale it was almost glowing.

Just then, the door "beeped" as it unlocked.

Tang Zhiluo was startled by the noise, her body shuddering; after all, her husband had been missing for a month, and Tang Zhiluo hadn't anticipated his sudden return.

The door swung open, and in stumbled a man in suit and shoes, reeking of alcohol.

Nearly two meters tall, with fair skin, his every motion oozed the unique charm of a mature man.

"What are you doing?" Mo Xun looked at her from the entryway.

His temperament was that non-replicable, effortlessly graceful poise.

His features were deep and well-defined; the casual squint in his eyes made one feel as though they could be sucked into his beautiful gray pupils.

Tang Zhiluo's heart raced a little faster.

He was too handsome!

Just one more glance would have her blushing and heart pounding.

"I'm drinking water," Tang Zhiluo replied softly, not daring to look into Mo Xun's eyes.

"Drinking water?" Mo Xun took long strides over.

His cool palm laid on her waist, and with a startle from Tang Zhiluo, he drew her into his broad embrace. "Mo Xun..."

Mo Xun glanced at the sleep dress on her, with nothing worn underneath, and chuckled lightly, "Dressing like this, it's a clear seduction."

He pronounced the word "seduction" with a provocatively intriguing undertone.

Tang Zhiluo's face flushed, her long eyelashes dropping down, "Mo Xun, you've had too much to drink..."

He wasn't normally like this.

He was the abstinent type who seldom laughed or joked!

He usually would just come over drunk, crash for the night, and then leave; he seemed to be very busy, doing business all over the world and seldom coming home.

"True, I have drunk too much."

He murmured softly, "I want some honey water."

"I'll go make it for you..." Tang Zhiluo's legs went weak at his gentle tone.

This man, why was he so different today?

"Mo Xun, sit on the sofa for a while, I'll go make you some honey water."

Mo Xun shook his head, a hint of weariness between his brows, "No need, I have a headache."

"Headache again? Then I'll take you to the room to lie down, come on, I'll massage your temple for you." Tang Zhiluo helped him back to the master bedroom.

The master bedroom was Mo Xun's room, and she stayed in the secondary bedroom.

This was what Mo Xun had said, no shared rooms before they had feelings.

"Mo Xun, lie down." Tang Zhiluo aided the tall man into the room.

After much effort, they both tumbled onto the bed, Mo Xun's hand, knobbly and distinct, gripping hers, and they fell together onto the bed.

Mo Xun on top.

Tang Zhiluo beneath.

Their position was suggestively ambiguous.

Tang Zhiluo's eyes widened in shock, the handsome and genteel face of the man above her blurring before her eyes.

"Mo Xun, what are you doing?" Tang Zhiluo panicked, pushing with her hands against his chest, her cheeks flushing with a dual red hue.

"What is this?"

Mo Xun's large hand caressed her waist, pinching her ticklish flesh.

Tang Zhiluo was mortified!

That was her belly!

As Mo Xun continued to pinch, he lifted her nightdress to take a look, "Why does your stomach have a bit of fat? Are you pregnant with a baby?"

He rambled on in a daze.

Tang Zhiluo died of embarrassment, slapping away his restless hand, "That's just a little stomach."

To think he said her belly was like being pregnant with a baby?

Was her stomach really that big?

It was just a tiny bit of extra flesh, okay?

And they've never consummated the marriage, so where would a little baby come from?

"Mo Xun, let me go quickly, I'll go make you some honey water!" Tang Zhiluo realized this position was too dangerous.

She needed to quickly dispel this ambiguous atmosphere.

If something did happen, she feared Mo Xun would accuse her tomorrow of having forced him!

"Do you not like me?" Mo Xun looked down on her, eyes hazy yet indescribably profound and beautiful.

Tang Zhiluo was transfixed.

Like or not like?

She couldn't say she liked him, but she wasn't resistant to him either.

Because Mo Xun gave her a home at a time when she had nowhere to go…

"I…" Tang Zhiluo licked her lips, and just when she tried to speak, Mo Xun had already let go of her and lay down to one side.

He curled up, hugging himself, his head slightly drooped, his side profile against the dark hair was to the extreme in its sexiness, and also to the extreme in its distance.

It's said that people who sleep like this lack a sense of security and have very strong defense mechanisms.

Tang Zhiluo watched him for a good while.

Mo Xun reverted to his 'keep out' demeanor, turning his back to her without saying another word.

Tang Zhiluo's heart twisted, wanting to touch him, but not daring to, after all, they weren't that intimate.

To be honest, she didn't know why Mo Xun wanted to marry her.

At that time, her grandfather was diagnosed with liver cancer, and Tang Zhiluo used all her money for his surgery.

Her grandfather had always been kind to Tang Zhiluo, but her family did not understand her, thinking that she was foolishly trying to save a dying man, hence they kicked her out of the family home.

Homeless and with only $200 on her, she wandered the streets in the middle of the night with her luggage in tow.

A sedan stopped, Mo Xun pushed the door open, and like a deity, he asked her: "Do you want to marry me?"

Tang Zhiluo was shocked at that moment.

But she actually agreed, as she was at the end of her rope anyway.

Later, thinking back, she was too brave. If Mo Xun had been a swindler, getting into his car might have cost her life.

Thankfully, Mo Xun was not a swindler. He took her to the apartment at Xinghe Bank, and the next day, they got registered and married.

Mo Xun and she set three rules.

One, no marital relations before they fell in love with each other.

Two, do not inquire about his whereabouts.

Three, do not pry into his privacy.

Early morning.

The sound of soy milk being ground emanated through the house, Mo Xun lay in bed, irritable, frowning, "It's so annoying!"

Tang Zhiluo was outside wrapping rice balls.

She liked cooking for herself.

Hearing Mo Xun's voice, she pushed the door to the master bedroom open, with a brilliant smile on her face, "Sorry, I'm making soy milk, didn't mean to disturb you."

She closed the door to the room.

Before long, the door was opened again.

Mo Xun was a light sleeper, and the sound of her footsteps had nearly broken his last strain of patience.

His eyes suddenly opened.

His obsidian-like beautiful eyes coldly gazed at her.

Tang Zhiluo set down the hangover soup on the bedside table.

Feeling the man's gaze, Tang Zhiluo turned her head, her pretty little face even whiter than a peeled egg in the morning light.

Her eyes were very big, amber-colored and extraordinarily lively and beautiful.

But Mo Xun's look was as if he was about to devour someone.

Tang Zhiluo was startled, "I'm sorry, Mo Xun, I just wanted to bring you hangover soup. You drank too much last night, and I feared you would have a headache when you got up, so I brewed some for you. Remember to drink it later."

Mo Xun looked towards the hangover soup on the bedside table.

Every time he came back drunk, Tang Zhiluo would massage his forehead, and make hangover soup…

Her gentleness was like the bright sunshine of the early morning.

Yet, it seemed a bit fake.

Mo Xun had already decided to divorce her when he came over last night.
