Chapter 2 The Mo Family is a Top-Level Rich Family!

"Ding-dong—!"

Someone was ringing the doorbell.

"Mo Xun, there's someone at the door. I'll go open it." Tang Zhiluo turned to leave.

The front door swung open.

Outside stood an elegantly dressed old lady, supported by a maid in a black cheongsam, both looking around.

When Tang Zhiluo opened the door, the old lady's gaze settled on her, as if she had found a treasure.

"Hello, Old Mrs. Mo, may I ask whom you are looking for?" Tang Zhiluo spoke politely.

"Are you Zhiluo?" the old lady asked with a benevolent smile.

Is this the wife Mo Xun married in secret?

Old Mrs. Mo liked her from first sight!

"Yes, I am. And you are?" Tang Zhiluo was confused.

"I'm Mo Xun's grandmother!" Old Mrs. Mo beamed with kindness.

Tang Zhiluo was startled, "You're Mo Xun's grandmother?"

This was the first time Tang Zhiluo had met a member of Mo Xun's family; he had never mentioned them, and Tang Zhiluo had never asked. Although they were married, they knew nothing about each other.

"You should call me grandma." Old Mrs. Mo entered the house with the help of the maid, Mrs. Gui.

"Grandma!"

Tang Zhiluo called out with a smile as sweet as honey.

"Ah!" Old Mrs. Mo chuckled with glee, and upon seeing the rich breakfast spread on the table, she turned to ask Tang Zhiluo, "Did you make this?"

"Um!" Tang Zhiluo enjoyed making breakfast herself. "Outside food isn't very clean, I like to cook myself."

Tang Zhiluo spoke gently, beckoning Old Mrs. Mo to sit down, "Grandma, have you had your breakfast? If not, please stay and eat with us. There's soy milk in the kitchen; I'll pour some for you."

"Alrighty." Old Mrs. Mo happily settled down. Having come all the way, she was eager to taste her granddaughter-in-law's cooking!

Tang Zhiluo went to pour the soy milk, also arranging bowls and chopsticks.

Watching her bustle about, Old Mrs. Mo said to Mrs. Gui by her side, "She's clever and good with her hands, enjoys cooking herself, and knows her manners. I think this granddaughter-in-law is not bad, Mo Xun has good judgment."

Mrs. Gui chuckled along, "Indeed!"

"Grandma! This is homemade soy milk, be careful, it's hot," Tang Zhiluo said as she handed over the soy milk.

Old Mrs. Mo took a sip and her eyes immediately lit up, "Mmm! This is really good! Granddaughter-in-law, how did you make this soy milk?"

Old Mrs. Mo had quickly started calling her granddaughter-in-law!

Tang Zhiluo's face blushed, "Grandma, it's just black beans mixed with soybeans, healthy and tasty."

"The proportion is just right, tastes so good!" Old Mrs. Mo was extremely pleased, and cheerfully continued to have breakfast with her.

"Grandma, try some sweet potato. Eating more whole grains is good for your health." Tang Zhiluo peeled a sweet potato for Old Mrs. Mo.

Old Mrs. Mo was very satisfied, tasting every dish on the table, all particularly delicious!

Mo Xun has struck gold!

At this point, Mo Xun, who was dozing off in bed, sensed something amiss.

Why were there voices talking outside the whole time?

Who had come?

Mo Xun focused and listened for a moment.

It was Old Mrs. Mo's voice!

Mo Xun, as if he had figured something out, sat up, his handsome brows and eyes showing a trace of annoyance.

Walking into the living room, he realized he was wearing a set of unfamiliar pajamas.

It must have been that woman who bought and changed him into them!

Mo Xun glanced at them—the fabric was shoddy, not worth more than $100 a set.

Mo Xun had never worn such poor-quality clothes before, his expression carried a hint of disdain as he walked to the dining room, "Grandma."

"Ah!" Seeing her grandson with an icy face standing before her, Old Mrs. Mo couldn't stop smiling, joyously saying, "I came to see my grandson's wife!"

Hearing this address, Tang Zhiluo felt very shy and stole a glance at Mo Xun.

Mo Xun didn't even spare her a glance.

Tang Zhiluo felt somewhat disappointed.

She knew it, Mo Xun must have taken the wrong medicine yesterday, how could he be so intimate with her?

Sure enough, he woke up with a cold demeanor!

"How can you come here without my permission?" Mo Xun's brows were furrowed, clearly displeased.

Old Mrs. Mo said nonchalantly, "What? Can't I come to see my grandson's wife who he has been married to for several months now?"

Mo Xun's thin lips pressed into a straight line.

Seeing the atmosphere turning tense, Tang Zhiluo hurriedly stood up to smooth things over, "No, Grandma, both Mo Xun and I welcome your visit!"

"That's right! My granddaughter-in-law cares for me!" Old Mrs. Mo said while holding Tang Zhiluo's hand.

Tang Zhiluo felt a bit embarrassed.

Although it was her first time meeting Old Mrs. Mo, she could tell the grandma really liked her!

Feeling accepted by the family, Tang Zhiluo was very happy and glanced at Mo Xun.

Mo Xun, wearing the home clothes she bought, had features that were beautifully defined, truly a man so handsome that it was devastating.

"Mo Xun, go wash up and brush your teeth. Grandma is here, let's have breakfast with her," Tang Zhiluo said with a smile, warmly inviting the old lady.

"No time," Mo Xun replied coldly, then said to Old Mrs. Mo, "Come with me for a moment."

"Fine then!"

Old Mrs. Mo followed him reluctantly.

Mo Xun intended to take Old Mrs. Mo to the study, but the elderly lady took a turn into the master bedroom herself, excitedly saying, "I want to see your and your wife's bedroom!"

She dashed in, and Mo Xun couldn't stop her.

Then Old Mrs. Mo discovered that the two slept in separate rooms!

There were no belongings of the granddaughter-in-law in Mo Xun's room.

Old Mrs. Mo frowned and ran to the adjacent smaller bedroom.

The fresh style of the smaller bedroom was completely different from the coldness of the main bedroom; the beddings were light blue, neatly laid out.

The granddaughter-in-law must be someone who likes cleanliness!

Tang Zhiluo had forgotten to close the wardrobe door in the morning, and Old Mrs. Mo took a look inside—there were only a few pieces of clothing. Old Mrs. Mo counted with her hand, just a few sets!

There was a light blue shirt hanging next to it.

"Is this yours?" Old Mrs. Mo asked Mo Xun, but she remembered that Mo Xun seemed never to wear blue.

Mo Xun's face was as cold as ice, "No."

It must belong to one of Tang Zhiluo's exes; when she moved in, it was already hanging in the wardrobe. The first time Mo Xun saw it, he felt it was an eyesore.

Still keeping an ex's belongings after getting married, fickle in love!

"You two sleep in separate bedrooms?" Old Mrs. Mo continued to ask.

"Yep." Mo Xun didn't hide it from her, "No feelings, can't sleep together."

Old Mrs. Mo frowned and her gaze continued to scan around the smaller bedroom, on the granddaughter-in-law's dressing table, there were only a pitiful two bottles of skincare products.

It was apparent that the granddaughter-in-law didn't come from a wealthy background.

"It seems that my granddaughter-in-law is a pitiable person," Old Mrs. Mo sighed with hands clasped in front of her, "But since you've already married her, why don't you buy her some things?"

You've already married her, do you still care about that small amount of money?

Their Mo Family is one of the top wealthy families in South City!

Mo Xun's handsome face soured as he said, "I didn't tell her my true identity."
