The girl named Mo Xue.

Outside their room, approaching the diner, Zhao Wenli, XiMei and LuPeng looked for an almost filled up space. The diner was rowdy and lousy which gave LuPeng the hint of carelessness among the people here.

He has been in the academy for almost nearly his whole life and he hasn't gone anywhere other than visit his family whenever there was a break which was almost impossible. But that doesn't mean he hated being outside the academy.

In truth, he loved it. But he really didn't like going out to fight demons. He wished if having a greater spirit animal would have been better. Finding the treasure like the other group was more entertaining, of course, he had to lucky to be out than stay indoors trying to improve what he knew cannot be improved.

For Wenli, it was almost like going to clubing. Though it looked nothing different, but it was more lousy and more inappropriate here. But that wasn't a bother. She has seen so many things more inappropriate than the last. So, she was kinda used to the vogue scene in front of her.

XiMei? Don't put much interest in her business. She's probably prying around glaring at handsome people and beautiful ladies, comparing herself with others.

Of course, this is a brothel not an inn. There's surely the smell of sex and alcohol oozing all around. But the more there's sexual alcoholic scents, there's also juicy gists that can light the throbbing displeasures the three pupils out of their head.

An alluring sound came from outside, and one of the female workers went outside immediately to lock the doors. The three also noticed more heading to the windows and shutting it close. Light dimmed as well making it look like a silent view on the outside but a wild party on the inside.

"Just like panta" Wenli spoke to herself after observing the people well.

Oh!!! How she missed that place. Her friend's pub, was named like that, though she doesn't know why, but that place was almost like the holiest wild clubing, and her friend, a no nonsense person. Her rule is her rule.

Wenli almost wondered why she was so poor on the outside but owns a very popular pub in the area. But what can she say, she's quite the stingy type always spending with sense, not because she desires it but because she has found about three thousand reasons and more, why that thing was important.

A slight but rude bang was heard, which distracted her from her thoughts. The bang came from their table with some other people.

LuPeng with the small alcohol bowl to his mouth paused, XiMei's hand was hanging mid air, with the food in her mouth slowly but steady as if to avoid that angry human. Wenli looked at the two then to where the noise came from.

Again, the bang came this time, took longer than before and the sound no longer slight but was still rude.

"Stop making that bang, what if that bitch hears it and comes in" they heard a low but clear voice coming from opposite of the with the rude bang, still coming from the same table.

"If you're not tired of almost going blind, then I am. What does that bastard think she's. In the day, our bright light is taking giving us an unwelcoming evening. And we have to dim or entirely blow out our candles at night. This village is a light filled village for crying out loud! " He said his voice raised for the members of that table to hear.

This indeed, brought the interest of the pupils of Wangshou academy.

XiMei, was the first to pry in.

"What Incident are you talking about?" She asked cutting their conversation, now earning the people's gazes.

"Are you not from this place? How can you not know about the happenings here in the Dai village?" The person closest to her asked giving her a disbelieving look.

XiMei was short of words, so LuPeng chimed in. "Pardon our lack of knowledge. It's actually like you've said, my sisters..." He said, pointing at Wenli at his left "...and I, are just passers by. We were heading to the neighboring village of DaiZu, to pay our last homage to our grandmother before she departs from this world but, needed a place to rest before we continue our journey to the village. I'm sorry if her words might have offended you "he said, clenching his hands together as a bow, to them.

Wow!!! That was such a lie. How can that really be something to joke about? A last respect? Wenli has found herself a lie rival.

The men especially the angered one found it less believing as he asked further.

"From which village are you from?"

This time, it was XiMei who spoke.

"The LanShuo province"

Everyone including Wenli looked at her. What the heck is that place? Is that even a place. She might find it believing for the so called DaiZu village to exist. But fir this..., that seem rather impossible.

"Is that a place?" Some one asked.

XiMei nodded.

It's far north. We've traveled for three days straight without proper bathes, food, water and most importantly, rest. So, that's why... To also mention, that place is very far. Stories from this village wouldn't be able to reach the province either "

Thankfully, no one pried in any longer and Wenli found her eyes roll unconsciously.

"Well, we'll tell you." The guy, facing Wenli said eyes seem to be fixed on her, but Wenli hadn't had the strength to inquire from him, why he was looking at her, like he has found a very scrumptious prey.

"There's this girl, of course, she was lovely. No one knew where she was from or why she came. Very fun type and always the playful type. Months later after, she gained the trust and love from the mayor's son. Some rumors had it that she loved the mayor's son but was afraid of what the Mayor might do, so she met secretly with him. While some said that there was no love between them. Either way, the story of that part, still remained a rumor. But two years after, both the girl and the mayor's son disappeared. Though it was said by some people who believe the first rumor, that she must've fled from the village with her lover but that thought ended when they found the body of the young man at the shore of the river, with a lot of vital organs missing. The girl hadn't been seen. Months later, the village lost our sun we haven't seen the bright sun nor the snow. Though it was winter, not even a snow drop had been seen.

"Since then, light faded. Many days in the month of the sun shutdown, many dead bodies with vital organs were seen. The result probably because their candles were all lit. That's how it has been for months " he explained.

Both LuPeng and Zhao Wenli shared gazes. That story was indeed strange in some way. At least, their eyes have conversed with each other.

LuPeng spoke. "What's the matter here. What about the girl, do you guys suspect her?"

"That's the reason. She has disappeared with or without the mayor's son. It must've something to do with her" another blurted out. Wenli scoffed that's something that always happens. Whether in the modern or ancient times, deciding without without finding out the main course.

"Why isn't she here then?" Wenli asked. She was finally saying something. LuPeng let out a reasonable sigh. XiMei glanced at her, trying to understand it. Seems like the two rival competitors of Liars, really have some understandings. They seem to know and understand the situation.

"Why isn't who here? The first narrator asked.

"There's light inside this brothels, why hasn't she made herself known and claim the vital organs?" Everyone looked at her as if she was the predator and she felt somewhat uneasy."...I mean, the lights though dim, doesn't matter. Brothels are extremely noisy to begin with. How can she miss the beautiful juicy organs that linger strong in her scent, on top of that, this place is still noisy with drunken people" age explained.

"Maybe she's afraid of being outnumbered. There are many people here, that's probably it"

Zhao Wenli wasn't convinced either.

"I wonder what the name of the girl?" XiMei uttered out of mare curiosity.

"The girl? She's the girl named Mo Xue" the first narrator answered.

Zhao Wenli looked at him again and still noticed that he was still glaring holes in her body

"That seems like a beautiful name"

The first narrator chuckled almost as if mocking the name.

"Really?" He looked at XiMei this time. "Then, I guess she is"

Wenli has had enough of his glues, she stood up from her seat. "I think it's time for me to have some rest. We have a lot of journey to cover. Then," she said and took to her heels to the room. Not too long, LuPeng came in, followed by XiMei.

No one said anything for mins. They see to think about who the girl is and what they a were about to face.

The person who broke the silence was XiMei.

"Do you believe what they said?"

LuPeng shook his head.

"Not all" Wenli replied seating at the tea table.

"Me too I think something is not right"

"You observed?" LuPeng asked. He was totally surprised because, XiMei spent more time drinking and eating than listening.

"Of course I observed. No matter how outnumbered people in the brothel are, a demon can slay them with seconds only"

"And the girl has not been found. No clear evidence that she's behind all the deaths recorded" LuPeng stated. XiMei looked at Wenli who was trying to patch up pieces together.

"Demons are always reckless only organs like the heart, might render the prey's body useless. But according to the story, nothing was damaged except for the stolen organ"

"Right, elder sister, you're right. I think this was done by both human and demons"

"I don't think so" LuPeng blurted

"Why?" XiMei asked.

"I don't know, but I think that humans aren't that extremely careful to take organs that carefully. "

Wenli didn't blame him. Surgeons have that careful tactics. Her colleague from the cardiatric department, had done a perfect heart removal..it's normal In many countries, when a person is dying and another needs a heart transplant they can donate the heart of the dying person to patient in need of it.

But this was a different case, this is a world of lack of experience.

"The girl " Wenli said

"Huh" the both turned to her.

"The girl, we need to find her."

"But there's no evidence that she's the one..."

LuPeng was cut off when Wenli looked at him.

"Let's believe then, this was done by two people. My instincts tell me. Judging from the case, we need to find the girl"

"But how could we, when we don't know how she looks like?" XiMei asked folding her arms to her chest.

"We invite her" LuPeng said though not understanding but believed that Wenli might be getting to something.

"How?" The cluest amongst them asked.

"Let's assume that what the people down stairs say about being outnumbered is true. The three of us, will be the bait"

"Teacher LuPeng, what did you think about person who began the story?"

"Is there something to be observed about him?" He was curious too. What's so good about observing him.

"He's too excited" XiMei said.

"Bingo!" Wenli snapped her fingers at her.

"So?" LuPeng asked really not understanding. Or maybe he refused to understand. The man looked slightly drunk.

"A person who is being faced with this kind of terror, should feel scared to the point of even migrating out of the fear of being the next person but he's excited. Not just excited, too excited that his palm couldn't hold the bowl properly "

"I really thought you weren't paying attention but I underestimated you." Wenli praised getting up.

"But he was slightly drunk..." LuPeng stopped. Even drunken people drink to forget things and they are still afraid but not too afraid to blurt out things casually. But slightly drunk? Which means...

"We'll plan about this tomorrow morning. But for now, let's rest and gain strength. We don't know what we're up against yet. " LuPeng said walking to one of the beds carefully letting his sword support the wood that held the beds together

The two nodded, each took the empty beds, but none could sleep though not taking to each other, but were thinking of a way to handle the matter they were going to face the next day.

Sleep couldn't come so soon that they all remained eyes shot but was fully aware of what was happening around them. Till nearing morning.
