Chapter 046: The Turmoil at U.A.

After saying that, Ezaki ignored them and squeezed through the crowd into the school.

The reporters tried to follow, but just as they were about to step in, they triggered U.A.'s security system.

In an instant, countless black iron gates suddenly shot up, blocking their way.

The reporter in the front froze, then collapsed to the ground in shock, still shaken. "W-what's going on?"

"We call it the U.A. Barrier," a reporter behind her said, helping her up.

"What's that?" the reporter asked curiously.

One of the reporters pointed at the large gates and said in a low voice, "If anyone without a student ID or access pass tries to pass this gate, the full defense system will activate."

"I also heard that there are sensors everywhere on the campus," another added.

The reporter who was lying on the ground groaned, complaining, "What's the deal with that? Acting all high and mighty."

"Yeah, we've been standing here forever and haven't heard a single word from them."

The news of All Might becoming a U.A. teacher shocked the whole country, and for days, the media swarmed to cover it, causing a huge stir.

Almost everyone in the country knew about it by now.

However, for Ezaki Kitazawa, it had nothing to do with him, and he couldn't care less about it.

...

In the classroom...

"Thanks for your hard work during yesterday's training. I've already looked at the Video and results," Aizawa Shouta said slowly from the podium.

He then glanced at Ezaki Kitazawa, Kirishima Eijiro, Bakugo Katsuki, and Todoroki Shoto before continuing,

"All Might told me you four were going all out. You tore down a building, switched from indoor to outdoor fighting, and almost turned it into a life-or-death battle."

"You four really went too far!"

Kirishima Eijiro looked a bit wronged. He wasn't really involved in most of it and mostly stayed out of the way, but at this point, it was hard to argue.

"Understood!" Ezaki Kitazawa and the others answered at the same time.

"Alright," Aizawa Shouta nodded, then turned serious.

"The rest of the class did well and avoided any incidents like before. Now, let's move on to today's class meeting."

"Although this is a bit rushed, today we need to decide on the class representatives."

"Class representatives?"

Everyone paused, surprised.

"Yes," Aizawa Shouta confirmed.

As soon as he said that, many students began eagerly trying to volunteer to be class president. After all, the class president of the hero course was completely different from that of the general course.

In the general course, the president just does small tasks, but in the hero course, it's a role that leads everyone and helps build a foundation for becoming top heroes in the future.

Even so, Ezaki wasn't interested. For him, the position would just bring a bunch of trouble.

After all, he was already pressed for time—there was no way he could spare time for a class president role.

"Quiet down. You can decide this amongst yourselves, and it should be finished within this class," Aizawa said before taking out his sleeping bag and lying down at the podium.

"Ezaki-kun, are you interested in being the class president?" Jiro Kyoka asked.

"A position as important as that? I can't take it. You know I'm not really into these kinds of things," Ezaki replied.

"Really...?" Jiro Kyoka was surprised. She had planned to recommend Ezaki, but since he wasn't interested, she decided to recommend herself instead.

After some drama, the class decided to hold a vote. In the end, Yaoyorozu Momo won the position of class president with two votes.

The morning passed quickly, with only a few small incidents that weren't important.

Meanwhile, in a meeting room at U.A., discussions were taking place that the students were unaware of.

"How can a regular journalist break through U.A.'s defense gates? Looks like someone is encouraging them!"

"Either there are some evil people mixed in, or someone is planning to declare war on us!" The principal said slowly.

"Declare war? Street thugs?" Another teacher asked.

"Who knows?"

"It can't be those street thugs. Doing that would only bring them harm, not any benefit," the principal said in a serious tone.

"I think it might be related to All Might. Now that everyone knows All Might is a teacher at U.A., it's possible that those with grudges against him are behind this," Aizawa Shouta said calmly.

As soon as he finished speaking, the whole meeting room went quiet.

After a few seconds, the principal suddenly asked, "The students from Hero Class 1-A are going to USJ for training today, right?"

"Yes, that's how the schedule is arranged," Aizawa Shouta replied.

"I don't know if I'm being overly sensitive, but Aizawa-kun, you should go with them to the USJ training as well," the principal said softly.
