Chapter 71: Creation Rebirth
Ezaki Kitazawa didn't join their discussion. He was sitting in his seat, watching them talk.
"Ezaki-kun, what do you think about yesterday's incident?"
Momo Yaoyorozu turned around and asked.
"The attack?" Ezaki Kitazawa replied.
"Yes. From what they say, the attack yesterday was the most serious one in years," Momo said softly.
"Because of what happened last night, many citizens are now in panic. The topic is still spreading on the internet," she continued.
Todoroki Shoto, who was sitting nearby, also spoke up.
"I know. I saw it on the news," he said.
Ezaki Kitazawa responded calmly. At that moment, Kirishima squeezed in, speaking up.
"I heard that All Might fought the enemy there, and it was a big battle."
"That's scary. The battle must have been intense to cause such destruction around the area," Kirishima added.
"Really? That's a scary thought," Ezaki Kitazawa smiled bitterly, just as Iida Tenya rushed into the classroom.
"Ezaki Kitazawa, are you here?" he asked.
Ezaki Kitazawa blinked and replied, "I'm here."
"The principal wants to see you," Iida explained.
"What for?" Ezaki Kitazawa asked.
"I'm not sure, but he asked me to come check if you were here," Iida replied.
"Okay," Ezaki Kitazawa nodded, stood up, and headed toward the principal's office. "Click, click, click!"
Ezaki Kitazawa gently knocked on the door.
"Principal, it's Ezaki Kitazawa."
"Come in!"
After hearing the response, Ezaki Kitazawa pushed the door open. The principal was sitting in a chair.
"Close the door," the principal said.
"Okay."
Ezaki Kitazawa closed the door behind him and walked over to the principal's desk.
"I heard from All Might that you can heal his old injuries?"
The principal asked.
"Yes," Ezaki Kitazawa nodded. "You should know, this is no joke. If something goes wrong, it could cause a huge impact on society, and the symbol of peace could collapse."
The principal looked at him seriously.
"I know that."
"Ezaki Kitazawa, you are truly exceptional. You might even be more gifted than All Might. You are the most outstanding and perfect genius since the founding of U.A. High," the principal said from the heart, giving Ezaki Kitazawa the highest compliment.
"Thank you for the praise, Principal."
Ezaki Kitazawa responded.
"All Might believes in you, and I believe in you. Follow me," the principal said as he started walking out.
Ezaki Kitazawa slowly followed behind him.
"We were originally planning to do this at the hospital, but after thinking about it, it's not a great idea. Some reporters might twist the facts and attract unwanted attention. So, we decided to do it at the school. Don't worry, our school's equipment is excellent."
The principal explained as they walked.
"That's not a problem. What I need is a skilled surgeon," Ezaki Kitazawa replied.
"We've arranged for the best."
After about five minutes, the principal led Ezaki Kitazawa into the medical room. At that moment, All Might and several doctors in white coats had been waiting for a while.
Just as All Might was about to speak, an elderly woman approached Ezaki Kitazawa. She was the school nurse, who called herself a "young lady," though in reality, she was a short, kind old woman who liked to give candy to the students. She was one of the few people who knew the secret about All For One.
"What's going on?"
Ezaki Kitazawa looked at the nurse with a puzzled expression.
"Nothing. I just didn't expect that there would be someone in U.A. with such a rare healing ability. This batch of students is truly something else!"
The nurse smiled warmly.
Ezaki Kitazawa stayed quiet.
"Alright, young man, All Might is in your hands now,"
the nurse said, stepping aside to let Ezaki Kitazawa through.
Ezaki Kitazawa nodded and followed All Might into the operating room.
Once everyone was ready, the doctors asked Ezaki Kitazawa, "What should we do?"
"Cut open all the old injuries and cut open the disordered parts as well," Ezaki Kitazawa answered.
The doctors hesitated for a moment but quickly nodded and started the operation on All Might.
After a while, the doctors finished and said, "It's all done, but hurry. Otherwise, All Might might be in danger."
Ezaki Kitazawa nodded, then quickly walked up to All Might and activated his Creation Regeneration ability.
New organs began to grow on All Might's abdomen, even some that had been lost. In just a few seconds, everything was restored, and even the old scars disappeared as if they had never existed.
"All the readings are back to normal," one of the doctors said, looking at the medical equipment.
"Wow... this is amazing! You're like an angel to us!"
"Young man, how about coming to work at our hospital after graduation? With your ability, I'm sure you'll be famous across the whole country in no time!"
"Yeah, you're a born healer!"
Ezaki Kitazawa frowned at their words. What were they thinking? Were they trying to recruit him to U.A.?
"Sorry, but the medical profession is not for me," Ezaki Kitazawa calmly said.
"...Okay, but not becoming a doctor is really a big loss for us," one of the doctors said with regret.
"That's true. Think about it, becoming a professional hero isn't as easy as you think," another doctor added.
Clearly, they knew nothing about Ezaki Kitazawa and assumed his ability was all he had.
Ezaki Kitazawa had to explain.
"Alright, I'll think about it."
He dismissed the topic.
"All Might's condition is stable for now, so there's no need to worry. Once the anesthetic wears off, he'll wake up," Ezaki Kitazawa said.
