Chapter 70: I Believe Him

Later that night, around 8 p.m., the news reported: "Earlier, around 5 p.m., there was a terrorist attack in the XX district. 76 people have died, and over a hundred citizens are missing. According to some witnesses, the enemy was a giant with purple skin."

Hearing this, Ezaki Kitazawa, who had been drinking water, spat it out. Thinking about it, he realized that he had a part in turning that place into a ruin, but it couldn't be helped. They had been dragged into it, and it was just bad luck for them.

"Fortunately, many professional heroes arrived and were finally able to defeat the monster. However, the XX district has suffered severe destruction. The subway has been shut down, and many roads are blocked," the news continued.

After wiping the floor with a cloth, Ezaki Kitazawa sat down on the sofa, closed his eyes, and fell into deep thought. Today's surprise attack by All For One had made him realize that he needed to get stronger as quickly as possible. Otherwise, if he encountered something like today again, it would be a major loss.

"This battle increased my experience in many areas," Ezaki Kitazawa mumbled, looking at his panel.

At the same time, inside a bar:

"Master, the Dark Emperor, All For One, appeared, and this afternoon, he even attacked Ezaki Kitazawa."

A man wearing a bird-beak mask spoke quietly to Chisaki Kai.

"A?" Chisaki Kai's expression changed immediately when he heard the name. He had often heard the elders of the Shikibatsu Eight Factions talk about him, and the fear of him had remained in the hearts of the elders.

"Is it true? The person who's always been a legend has appeared? And he's targeting Ezaki Kitazawa?"

Another man with a bird-beak mask said, "So, the ones who were supposed to bring in the new era have fallen like this?"

"How could this happen?" Chisaki Kai murmured.

"Master, don't worry, Ezaki Kitazawa is fine. All Might arrived in time. But the strength of Ezaki Kitazawa is really impressive. He fought with All For One for several rounds, and during the battle, it almost affected me," another voice replied.

The man wearing a bird-beak mask sighed and said, 

Upon hearing that Ezaki Kitazawa was fine, Chisaki Maikai finally relaxed. "This time, we caused such a big stir. All For One should lay low for a while now."

With that, Chisaki started to stand up and walk toward the big door. 

"Young master, where are you going?"

"I'm going to find Ezaki Kitazawa," Chisaki answered.

"Now isn't the right time. After all, his parents are professional heroes, and there are other professional heroes keeping a close eye on us. The more we act in these moments, the more likely it is to cause trouble."

"Otherwise, it could bring trouble to Ezaki Kitazawa!"

Chisaki Kai remained silent for a few seconds before sitting back down on the sofa, near where All Might had been. 

"No, All Might. This is too risky. If we're not careful, you might end up in even more danger," Chisaki said.

"Although I know All For One has appeared, and things are looking pretty bad right now, the treatment you're talking about is too dangerous," he said, his face serious.

It's true that even All Might himself had thought it was a bit unreliable at first, but in the end, he still decided to trust Ezaki Kitazawa. 

"I trust him, Principal. Ezaki-kun wouldn't say something unless he was sure. Even though there's only a fragment of One For All left in me, if it weren't for my body's condition, I could still maintain my transformed state for longer," All Might said calmly.

"What if it fails? What if All For One shows up again? The only person who can stand against him is you," the principal said, with a grave expression.

"Since I passed on One For All to Midoriya Izuku, and because of my physical condition, my time of action has become shorter. I'm worried I might not be able to hold out until All For One appears again," All Might explained.

"I understand," the principal said after some hesitation. All Might made a valid point, and it made sense why he would consider such a risky move. "Alright, All Might. I'll take care of the medical situation. But before we perform the surgery, I need to speak with Ezaki Kitazawa myself."

The principal spoke softly.

The next morning, Ezaki Kitazawa, as usual, went to U.A. High School. At that moment, the main topic of discussion in Class 1-A was the attack that had happened the day before.

"That was terrifying. What kind of crazy enemy could do something like that?" Kaminari Denki said, his face serious.

"Yeah, it was a nightmare. The entire area turned into ruins," Sero Hanta added.

"Luckily, the professional heroes arrived and managed to reduce the damage," said Kirishima Eijiro.

"Do you think that kind of crazy enemy will show up again?" Kirishima asked.

As soon as he finished speaking, Mina Ashido, who had been shivering beside them, could no longer sit still and spoke up.

"Stop talking about it!"
