Chapter 74: Purgatory

"However, Ezaki Bei's strength far exceeds his peers," the principal added.
With Ezaki Bei's current strength, calling him the most talented genius U.A. has ever had would be completely justified.
Night Eye pushed his glasses up and spoke, "He said he took leave?"
"Yes, because he's so talented, the current basic training at U.A. is no longer enough for him. He said he's self-studying while waiting for the sports festival to start."

Although Toga Himiko was happy, she pretended to be mad, pouting her lips and looking like she was upset until Ezaki Kitazawa would make it up to her. However, Ezaki Kitazawa wasn't affected by her act.
"Come on, change your clothes. We're going out," Ezaki Kitazawa said with a roll of his eyes.
"Ezaki-kun, are you taking me shopping? If so, then I'll forgive you for not visiting me for so long," Toga Himiko said, looking at him expectantly.
"Let's go!"
"Mm-hmm, mm-hmm!" Toga Himiko nodded and quickly changed from her pajamas into casual clothes.
Shopping? Not a chance. What's fun about shopping when there's training to be done?
In the depths of the forest, Ezaki Kitazawa chose this place to avoid being disturbed. In the depths of the forest, there was a cliff. Without any training equipment, it was the perfect spot. During the time before the sports festival started, Ezaki Kitazawa spent almost all of his time here. Of course, when his parents went on business trips, Ezaki Kitazawa would sometimes even spend the night there.
Before he knew it, the day before the sports festival had arrived.

No matter how much he trained his body, he couldn't change his physique. Unlike others, who would become stronger and more muscular as they trained, Ezaki Kitazawa's body didn't change. However, he could clearly feel that his basic strength had increased.
"Forget it, doesn't matter,"
he mumbled to himself before flipping over and standing up. He walked over to a large tree, swinging his fists and launching them forward. As he punched, the air around his fist shifted.
"Boom!"
The punch hit the tree and left a large hole in the trunk. Seeing this, Ezaki Kitazawa didn't show any surprise. The next moment, he jumped towards the cliff. Just before landing, his arms transformed into a wood-like substance, swelling up into massive wooden claws.
"Zzzzzz!"
He landed smoothly, his arms returning to their normal state. Looking up at the cliff, Ezaki Kitazawa took a few steps back.
"Let me see my limits," he said, then began running at full speed. With one final leap, he punched the cliff with all his might.
"Boom!"
With a loud crash, the cliff cracked deeply. Rocks of all sizes started falling, like large raindrops. After launching the punch, Ezaki Kitazawa quickly withdrew. A few minutes later, thick smoke and dust filled the forest.
"It looks like my basic strength has increased a lot," Ezaki Kitazawa thought.
Ezaki Kitazawa muttered to himself as he opened his attribute panel:

Ezaki Kitazawa muttered, then closed the panel. Just then, he heard Toga Himiko's voice from a distance.
"Ezaki-kun!"
"Ezaki-kun!"
"Are you here?"
Ezaki Kitazawa responded, and Toga Himiko rushed over to him, looking a bit worried.
"Good, you're okay. What happened just now? It really scared me."
Ezaki Kitazawa smiled and replied, "It's nothing, just testing my abilities. Alright, let's head back. The training is over for today."
Toga Himiko paused for a moment. Even though she had been following Ezaki Kitazawa lately, she was still quite happy.
"Are you going home, Ezaki-kun?"
Toga Himiko asked softly.
"No! For the rest of the day, I'll go shopping with you," Ezaki Kitazawa said with a smile.
Toga Himiko's heart felt sweet as if she had eaten honey, and she immediately smiled.
"Really?"
"When have I ever lied to you? But, like always, let's disguise ourselves first," Ezaki Kitazawa said.
