Chapter 077: A Genius Appears Out of Nowhere

Ezaki Kitazawa had only been running for a short while when everyone ahead of him suddenly stopped. In front of them stood a large number of massive robots.

Yes, these robots were the zero-point villains from the Hero Course entrance exam.

"The zero-point villains from the exam… There are so many of them!" Kaminari Denki frowned as he looked at the robots.

"They look terrifying," Mineta Minoru gulped nervously.

"Who's paying for the cost of making these things?" Yaoyorozu Momo said, her expression stiff.

"Are these the usual villains from the entrance exam? What a waste. I was hoping for more challenging obstacles," Todoroki Shoto said calmly.

As soon as Todoroki finished speaking, a figure rushed past him.

It was, of course, Ezaki Kitazawa.

At that moment, the voice of the commentator, Present Mic, echoed through the arena.

"Facing the first obstacle, Ezaki Kitazawa from Class 1-A charges ahead! But these robots are no joke, folks!"

*Creak, creak!*

The massive green robots scanned the area and then announced, "Targets detected!"

In the next second, one of the robots swung its fist, aiming straight at Ezaki, who was the first to rush forward.

*Boom!*

Dust filled the air, covering the path ahead.

"Did it… hit him?"

"This is insane! Someone from Class 1-A isn't even using their Quirk?"

"It's not that he didn't want to. The zero-point villains are too fast. He probably didn't have time to react before getting hit."

"If that's the case, then he's crazy. He's so weak, yet he rushed out first. Isn't that just asking for trouble?"

Not only were students from other classes confused, but even Ezaki's own classmates were stunned.

"It's like… ever since Ezaki came back from his self-study, he's become a completely different person," Yaoyorozu Momo said with a serious expression.

"Yeah, I remember Ezaki Kitazawa being able to dodge attacks like that easily. What's going on?" Uraraka Ochako also felt puzzled.

"Could he have gotten injured during his self-study?" Jiro Kyoka added.

As they were talking, Present Mic's voice rang out again.

"Wow! While everyone else is still frozen, Ezaki Kitazawa from Class 1-A has already pulled ahead!"

The moment Present Mic finished speaking, the crowd erupted.

"What? He's already ahead?"

"Wasn't he hit by the robot?"

"Yeah, what's going on? How did he suddenly pull ahead?"

"Ugh! You idiots, why are you stopping? Keep going!" A figure suddenly shot out from the crowd, charging straight toward the green robot. It was, of course, Bakugo Katsuki.

"He's right. Why are we wasting time hesitating here?" 

Todoroki Shoto said, and in the next moment, he activated his Quirk, sending a wave of freezing air toward the green robot.

"Huh… wasn't he hit?"

"Nope, nope. Ezaki Kita is the real deal."

"Yeah, we were just worrying for nothing," Jiro Kyoka said with an awkward laugh.

Meanwhile, following closely behind Ezaki Kita were Bakugo Katsuki and Todoroki Shoto.

Without a doubt, Bakugo was itching to punch Todoroki—and maybe even himself. The reason was simple: Todoroki was the first one to walk out of the bottleneck and the first one to stop. 

And the most ridiculous part? Bakugo had followed him without thinking. He really wanted to slap himself for that.

Todoroki quickly caught up to Bakugo.

"This isn't good. It seems like his strength has improved again," Todoroki said to Bakugo.

"I can see that!"

"Just now, he moved at the last second before the robot could hit him. His speed was so fast I didn't even see it. No wonder people thought he got hit," Todoroki explained.

"How the hell is he training? The more we chase him, the bigger the gap gets," Bakugo said through gritted teeth.

"Could it be… he's figured out some kind of technique?" Todoroki suddenly wondered.

"A technique?" 

Bakugo paused, then continued, "Definitely. There's no other way he could've improved this much."

"Currently, Class A's Ezaki Kita has reached the second obstacle. Close behind him are also Class A's Todoroki Shoto and Bakugo Katsuki."

The second obstacle was something like walking on a tightrope. Falling meant you were out, but in a world with Quirks, this wasn't much of a challenge.

For Ezaki Kita, though, this obstacle was just a slightly more difficult version of a normal path.

With a couple of leaps, he cleared the obstacle effortlessly.

The live audience was stunned.

"He… just jumped over it like that?"

"The first-place guy is overwhelmingly strong!"

"Shouldn't Endeavor's son be in first place?"

"Hey, where did this number-one guy, Ezaki Kitazawa, come from?" 

"Ezaki Kitazawa? You guys don't know? Then you must have missed the entrance exam battle. That fight between Ezaki Kita and Endeavor's son was amazing!" 

"Huh? Endeavor's son fought Ezaki Kitazawa?" 

"Yeah, that battle was insane! As Endeavor's son, Todoroki Shoto was definitely strong, but against a genius like Ezaki Kitazawa, he was completely overpowered!" 

One of the spectators spoke, recalling the scene and couldn't help but praise it. 

Hearing this, the others got excited. 

"Come on, tell us more about this Ezaki Kita!"
