What Destiny Should Look Like

The ride home was a rather quite one, as the two ladies in the car stared at me quietly, too afraid to speak.

I wasn’t rather fun of meeting him, but atlas I guess it was a good idea. But what I couldn’t figure out about myself, was why did I lie? Why did I lie about being in a relationship, when actually it ended a long time ago?

What was the reason behind it? Was I now too afraid to open up to a new beginning? Or was this a psychological defense I had putting up unknowingly?

I could now feel eyes watching me as I looked at the front seat, Elena’s eyes glued to me in a rather piercing gaze.

“What?” I instinctively asked

“Nothing!” She said shaking her head as she denied my question, refusing to say what’s on her mind. But with her actions you could see she was eager to speak but stayed silent amid the scenery of things. The ride back home, one filled with suspense.
