CHAPTER 31 That's Horrible

  IAN'S POV

"That's so inspiring," I said, admiring Leah's determination. "Your daughter is lucky to have a mother who's willing to make such a sacrifice for her. I'm sure she'll appreciate that someday."

"I hope so," she said, her eyes softening. "I just want her to have every opportunity in life, and I know education is key to that. And besides, I know it will be good for me too. It'll give me new challenges and opportunities to grow."

I couldn't help but smile at her optimism. "It sounds like you're really looking forward to it,"

There was silence for awhile as we both didn't know what to say. I had a lot I wanted to say, but I didn't want to come out pushy.

She had worries about my family accepting her as my mate because of her daughter Lana who she had from her ex mate who was a total dushbag.

Aiden was not worthy of Leah's love and I wanted her to open her heart to me, but I knew it wasn't going to be easy.
