IAN'S POV
"No, it wouldn't," I said, shaking my head. "You're not a burden, Leah. And being with you wouldn't ruin my future.
If anything, it would make it better. I want to be with you, and I don't care what anyone else thinks."
"But your pack, your family..." she started to say.
"They'll understand," I said firmly. "They'll see that we're meant to be together. And if they don't, then they'll just have to deal with it.
"You're so sure of yourself," she said, sounding almost in awe. "You really believe that we're meant to be together, don't you?"
"I do," I said, my voice full of conviction. "I felt it from the moment we met. It was like a spark, something electric and undeniable. I've never felt that way before, not with anyone else. It's just you."
Leah looked at me for a long moment, her expression unreadable. Then, she reached out and took my hand. "I feel it too," she said, her voice barely a whisper.
