LEAH'S POV
"There was a pink one, and a blue one, and a green one, and a purple one. And they all had sparkly wings!"
"And then," she continues, "the fairies took me to their queen, who was the biggest and shiniest of them all. She gave me a flower crown to wear, and told me I was the princess of the forest!"
"Oh my goodness!" I say. "What an incredible honor! Did you have any adventures after that?"
"So many!" she says, her words tumbling out in a rush. "I flew on Starlight's back to a mermaid kingdom, where I met the king and queen of the merpeople!
"And then the merqueen gave me a necklace made of pearls and seashells," she says, her voice growing softer. "And then she told me I had to return home, so Starlight and I flew back to the castle. And then I woke up."
"That's such an incredible story," I say, impressed by her imagination and storytelling skills. "Did you wish you could stay in the dream, in the fairy forest?"
