Ella's POV
Cold.
It was the very first thing I thought, then felt. The floor was so incredibly cold! My eyes would not open, but I managed to move my fingers. They scraped along something that felt like cement. Dusty and dirty. Things were stuck to my face, my palm. Did I fall asleep outside? It felt like a leaf was stuck to the chin! Cold. As the numbness pricked my skin, all I felt was cold. No pain, no stiff muscles or aches. That's a good thing, right? An uneasy feeling spread out in my stomach as I go away about how slowly I was waking up. How unable I was to move, and how painfully dry my throat felt.
