CHAPTER 87 Blood

  Ella's POV

  That's not possible!

A slight tremble moved through Ryan's body, like a last struggle to get up. But his body would not; he slumped back on the ground, and his eyes rolled back into his head before they closed.

A choked cry, it was all I had to offer him. All I could give him as I watched Marcus kick his side. Two times before, he scoffed. The ringing in my head had faded, but it still felt like my ears were bleeding. My chest was breaking, and my heart was dying. Clenching the little girl to my chest, I realized Marcus was now focused on us. I didn't understand this pain, but it was like something inside me clawed at my mind and screamed in agony just at the thought of losing Ryan.
