Mason POV
I cannot help but pace outside Tristan's office. I want to know, no, I need to know what is going on inside that office. Is he marking her right now as we speak, or are they using the dagger? I don't know what I will do if she walks out of that office with his mark on her neck. I am afraid I won't be able to contain my anger.
All the times that Rowena and I were together flash through my mind. The way she would look at me while we were in the throes of passion together tells me that she must have feelings for me. I know it. I just have to make her remember what we mean to one another.
The door of Tristan's office swings open. Zoe and Rowena are the only two to walk out. Rowena's red hair is covering her neck, and I cannot see if she has been marked or not. So, I lift my nose to the air, and Rowena doesn't smell any different. I let out a sigh of relief. Tristan didn't mark her.
