"I will not reject him," I tell Luca. "This is not up for negotiation."
"If Father were still alive, he would be terribly disappointed in you, Rowena. He would never want to see his daughter mated to an Omega," Luca growls.
"Lies," I scream back at Luca. "He would want me to follow my heart."

Revenge of the Female Alpha

　　I feel a tether to our pack snap. This isn't the first time I have felt this feeling since becoming Alpha, but it is the first time it has been this painful. It reminds me of when my father died, and the pain of losing our Alpha coursed through our bodies. 


　　My beta, Zane, comes bursting into my office, clutching his chest. His eyes land on me, and he lets out a sigh of relief. "I thought something had happened to you," he breathes out. 


　　Ignoring the pain in my chest, I growl in Zane's direction. "Why would you think something was wrong with me?" 


　　"I felt a tether to our pack break," Zane replies, still clutching his chest. "That only happens when the Alpha dies."
