Gabriel's POV
When I came to, I was lying on a cold metal table. Nurse Evans was standing over me, a syringe in her hand. "Don't worry, Gabriel," she said. "You're just experiencing a little...reboot."
I struggled to sit up, my mind racing with questions. "What do you mean?" I demanded. "What kind of reboot?"
Nurse Evans smiled again. "You're just experiencing some...glitches," she said. "Nothing to worry about."
I felt a ripple of anger and frustration. Glitches? What did she mean? Was I some malfunctioning machine?
But Nurse Evans just patted my hand. "Don't worry, Gabriel. We'll get you sorted out in no time."
I looked around the room, trying to take it all in. There were more people in lab coats, all moving around with purpose. Machines were beeping and humming in the background.
And then I saw something that made my heart skip a beat. A door with a sign that read "Project Elysium".
