CHAPTER 190

Everly sat in the back seat of the cab, her hand wrapped tightly around her phone. She had been on the message Devan sent her inviting her out for an ice cream at least a dozen times, but she couldn't just get over it.

It was the first message that popped up on her scream when she woke up in the morning, and since then she had dedicated all her time into going over each word that string the message, probably making sure that she was reading the right thing and the message was sent from Devan himself.

Hey Everly, can we meet up for ice cream? I would like to talk.

Were his words, Everly liked the way he was popped and to the point about what he wanted without first beating around the bush and asking if she was going to be free. She liked the fact that it sounded more like it was an order rather than an invitation.
