Ben rolled his eyes. Clearly, he had lost out in many ways, especially in having Hazel.
"Whatever!" He snorted and folded his arms across his chest.
Hazel glared and whispered to Flynn. She was obviously embarrassed to her new friend. Flynn was acting childish.
"Sorry, Ben. It looks like we have to go," said Hazel, pulling Flynn up from the couch. Flynn just grinned and nodded, following Hazel like a duckling after its mother.
"Hey. Call me, okay?" Ben said, winking to Hazel.
"I don't even have your number," Hazel replied, smiling and widening her eyes. She didn't want these two men to start fighting again over a mere joke.
"Don't even try, Kid," Flynn gritted his teeth. He was serious about forbidding Ben from contacting Hazel in any way.
"I'm not your kid!" Ben retorted just as fiercely. But Hazel quickly pulled Flynn out of the bar.
