"Are you offended, Flynn?" Hazel bit her lips. It was a bad morning. They had just opened their eyes, and Flynn already seemed upset with Hazel's behavior. Was it because Sofia was his precious ex?
‘Of course, Hazel! Sofia had been his wife!' she mumbled.
Honestly, Hazel shouldn't have spoiled the morning mood like this.
"No," Flynn denied softly. But Hazel could hear that his voice was as heavy as his breathing. What was going on?
"Sorry," Hazel said then. She hugged Flynn again, burying her head into his back as he turned away. Hazel regretted bringing up Sofia. She should've just pretended not to know.
"Sofia … so this is about Sofia? You went to the bar and got drunk because of her?" Flynn pressed Hazel, still not wanting to face her. He kept his back to her, making Hazel feel even guiltier.
"Yeah … uh, no," Hazel was embarrassed to admit. She was acting so childish. Should she just confess?
