Autumn
Ethan and I had reached a point of acceptance in our relationship, and I had overcome my earlier apprehensions. It was time to acknowledge my feelings for him instead of dismissing them as a distraction. Despite the plans I had made with Jared, I knew where my heart truly lay.
Currently in the chamber, Ethan and I deliberated over our next steps, pondering what to do about Mary and Lily, who were still locked in the dungeon below.
"Tell me," I prompted Ethan, sitting beside him on the couch. "What's on your mind right now?" I asked, eager to understand his thoughts.
He turned to me, his expression serious. "It needs to be a grand scheme," he began, his voice steady. "Maya's expulsion from their pack complicates things. We're unsure of their intentions regarding you, but we must interrogate Lily once she wakes up. Mary also knows something, but she's withholding information from me," he explained, his concern evident in his tone.
